I'm trying to temper my expectations with the new Star Wars movies, but I must confess I like what I'm seeing from the teaser trailer.

I've purposely stayed out of the Star Wars thread since I don't want to know too much about it before seeing it but I had to watch the trailer and that's a hell of a tease.

Saw The Imitation Game a few weeks ago whilst in England, a very very solid movie.

Had lots of heart and was certainly well cast, Cumberbatch owned the role as Alan Turing. The war and thriller aspects of the movie was a bit too straight to the point and "template-d", but that certainly doesn't take away from the overall story of Turing and his fellow codebreakers. The film was pieced together quite nicely.

Overall, a solid 7/8. And probably the best biopic of the year that covers a little known character (at least for a naive, un-British knowing historian Yank such as myself) and the British side of the war, and it IMO truly tells his story.

Sidenote, I haven't seen Foxcatcher yet

I think this new star wars will make a star wars fan.
Never seen any star wars movies.

Man hold up, I'm watching my nephew and niece today and they wanted to watch a ScaryMovie.

I put on Nightmare on Elmstreet, haven't seen this in 20 years but, I never knew Glen was played by Johnny Depp. Mind blown

I can't remember if this has been shared before. Pixar & other animators have been placing A113 in their work for a while.

I put the pics in spoiler mode & the answer in another spoiler.

A113 refers to a classroom number at the California Institute of Arts. It was the classroom for first year graphic design and character animation, where many of the animators at Pixar and Disney, and several other studios, discovered and mastered their craft. The use of A113 in their films is a friendly nod to one another that they once shared a classroom without which they would never be doing what they’re doing now.

i'll watch the entire star wars series in 2020.

thinking i'll watch gladiator in 2017.

Meanwhile, you saw all the twilight films the first night they hit theaters :smh:
on the contrary my friend, since i didn't/don't have a girlfriend, i've never seen any of those movies. i'm a clown when it comes to watching stuff. i rarely have the desire to sit down for 2 hours just to see a story unfold. now if i had a chick, yeah i probably would've been there opening night, but only for the yambs that would follow.

 why is this so funny to me
probably because it's true

Just saw Anna :smokin Reminded me of Stoker but way more by the book/conventional but still interesting given the layer of scifi or I guess paranormal in it. Strong did his thing but what stood out to me in this was Taissa Farmiga. While she doesn't look that much like her moms to me the acting is very similar. One scene in particular had me thinking that's exactly how Vera would do it :pimp: I'll be looking out for her in the future. Rate it a 5.4/8

Finally got a round to Zero Dark Thirty, while incredibly grounded which made it hard for me to praise the acting in one sense it was definitely engaging and kept me watching. Could've went one way given the span of years they covered but it was done real well. Wasn't mad I saw the whole car bombing in that camp for the CIA meeting with Maya's friend happening a mile away. Rate it a 6/8

Bout to peep Kill Your Darlings next.
Just finished Game Of Thrones and need something new to watch

I'd go with Vikings right away AlBooBoo.

I didn't start The Game because it only had 2/5 eps on Demand.
Found this instead...

This joints a Gem.
Lennie struck me as odd initially, in a role like this, he smashes it so far. About to start ep 2

Apparently Jake Gyllenhaal will star in a boxing movie called Southpaw directed by Antoine Fuqua and this is what he's looking like right now...
