Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

She also was Pitts wife in WWZ, that's the first movie I recalled seeing her in, then I started the Killing shortly after. But she was looking kinda good in WWZ in that sexy *** average kind of way

I like average looking houseives. One of the reasons I like buying stuff at target. Great location if I was The Milf Hunter.

se7en ending tho

Yea Target is the spot.
I normally do my shopping at night, Wal-Mart/Target.
I call it "Going to the Club" because my chances of picking up an old head housewive is extremely high.
Nothing sexier than a Mom shopping for Milk and Fruity Pebbles in sweats, sneakers, no make up and a ponytail

Watching batman begins, they really shouldn't have killed off ras al ghul in this one..

They should have kept him like the comics and how he is at the beginning, part foe part ally.. Have him and the league continue to work behind the scenes

Maybe build up to him being the main main bad guy in part 3.. Obviously ledger's death changed the original plans a bit.. Or maybe you have ras and batman come together to face bane.. And ras having to confront talia for what they are trying to do (maybe he sees hope in what batman has been able to accomplish)

Obviously still a very good movie, just think they should have kept it to him taking down scarecrow and falcone.. Which is huge for him just coming out as batman.. Since falcone is the biggest mob guy in Gotham and you got scarecrow

As I said last night, I love love love love the idea.

Ras in the 3rd film "helping" Batman vs Bane would have been something to see. I would have loved that.

And I wonder, if, in a sense, they sort of thought of it too, in the manner that they did bring Liam back for a cameo, maybe they had regrets on ending his story too. Had they thought ahead of time, maybe they could have kept him around in the 2nd one, while Joker was runnin wild. Even have Joker mention something about the LOS or something.

Even if Heath was around, I can't picture Joker being in the world that Bane created. I just don't see the fit.

But Ras, I definitely could see that.

And like manup mentioned, at the time, I wonder if Liam didn't want to commit to anything longer term. (tho he has for Taken, for some reason  )

Everything Liam did in Batman Begins is what he SHOULD HAVE BEEN, in The Phantom Menace. He was more Jedi in Batman, than he was in Star Wars. The difference between Nolan, and Lucas, clearly. Better writing, better story, more to work with, fewer green screens to talk to, etc.

I wish like hell I could cut and paste dialogue from BB into a Star Wars storyline, that **** would make Qui Gon one of the best characters in that universe.

Has Nolan ever given a full on interview about his work with TDK trilogy? He "says" he didn't know if he'd have sequels, but clearly from the card at the end, he knew he'd be doing another story. I wonder if Liam was the issue, or they didn't think ahead in terms of how they could have used him in all 3 films with the right planning ahead of time.

Yall dudes take your Julianne Moore love to the same link in the quote below :x :smh:

Watched Sabotage. It was an ok movie. The dea squad acted like a bunch of degenerate high schoolers. Mireille Enos was kinda hot in it. The motivation of the killings were really stupid though and the whole situation could've been avoided.
Mireille Enos belongs here  http://niketalk.com/t/529256/females-you-wanna-smash-but-dont-know-why/2640#post_22150175

In one of the first scenes she enters a bedroom with a topless lesbian making out with another lesbian and gets thrown on a bed ready to become a member of team raw with a cartel guy. Helped that she was dressed like a prostitute.

When she's dressed normal she looks like a very average soccer mom.
Yeah even when she's regular I still wanted to smash. Ever since The Killing for some reason. Looking all frumpy in that Seattle wardrobe, constant rain on her. Don't know why but I do. Felt the same way when I saw her in WWZ

Sabotage took it up a few notches. Yeah I know I'm knocking Moore but lusting for Enos.

the more I'm thinking about it.. would have loved if ras/liam is still truly around in the 3rd film.. after bane 'breaks' batman's back, in his arrogance he drops the "you have my permission to die line" right then and there and leaves batman right there on the ground despondent with his whole world crashing around him literally and figuratively

ras/liam could swoop in and return the favor by saving batman's life.. and he then takes over the rehabilitation process (maybe some allusion to the lazarus pit).. so none of that stuff with batman being in the prison on the other side of the world happens.. and then you get the real story of bane from his point of view.. maybe how he took him in and tried to help him because of his appreciate for what he did for talia.. but he couldn't follow the vision and was too extreme for even the league..

he could break the bomb shell about talia and explain, how she never forgive him for not keeping bane around after all he had done for her in the prison.. so he feels obligated to help batman take on bane (and hopes that he might be able to rationalize and reconcile with his daughter along the way)

I don't think Bane was a lock for villain in the 3rd one before Heath's death anyway. I recall there being rumors of Nolan having to be convinced to come back and then when he changed all his plans the creative team came up with Bane for the finale which we can see he didn't care as much about. Pretty sure Nolan would've preferred directing another story with the Joker involved somehow.

^ yea I know.. ledger's death changed things..

but even with the joker, would have loved to see liam/ras in that advisory role.. just hearing what he would have to say with someone as extreme as the joker.. I mean just look at the gems Alfred had in the dark knight

Ridley Scott Claims Comic Movies Are ‘Hardest’ Adaptations to Write
“I’ve had a lot of opportunities and I tend not to do that,” Scott replied. “They’re the hardest single thing to write. Taking a comic strip character is very hard to write because comics are meant to work in one page, to work in frames with minimalistic dialogue. And a lot of it is left to the imagination of the reader. To do that in film you’ve got to be a little more explanatory. And that requires a good screenplay and good dialogue.”

Still want to see him give it a shot.

ya I don't buy it.. and I think that ship may have sailed on me wanting to see him do a comic book movie

I couldn't finish robin hood.. Prometheus should have been way better (and hasn't he admitted to skimping on story to focus on visuals?).. didn't watch the counselor, but didn't hear good things..

and I have zero desire to watch exodus

I'm with you. Ridley hasn't exactly been on a hot streak lately. I don't see his propensity for heavy-handedness working well in the comic book movie setting.

While I've only watched Prometheus from him lately and probably won't watch Robin Hood or Exodus I still want to see it.

The problem with The Counselor wasn't so much what he did with it. The script just wasn't that great. Acting was solid, editing and overall direction was good. The tone and that ending though for that sort of situation just probably made it something most ppl weren't expecting.

Only thing that would concern me is if he sacrificed story for visuals.

se7en ending tho :wow:

I remember watching it for the first time about 10 years ago......

One of the best thriller/detective movies of all time.

If there is anybody who is just coming from under their rock in here, make it you number 1 priority.

Just watched Scarface again last weekend.  I really wish someone would make a prequel for either Tony or Sosa or a sequel for Sosa.

People don't like Se7en? What the ****?

How is that even possible? And Pitt was really, really good in that movie. He played that role perfectly off of the vet that Freeman portrayed.

I could see Pitt bothering people but that's who his character was. Might be more of a writing issue than a Pitt issue.

:wow: at the se7en slander, never heard it before.

My boy gave me his Transformers age of extinction on blu ray, says its worth it for a boring night for the visuals.

I like visuals but i need some substance too.

I thought ASM3 was ok.

Is this more like that or like Dark of the Moon which I have yet to finish or have any plans to?
