That's kinda why I liked it. Seemed like your standard action movie that didn't do too much. Only thing missing was the male lead sexing the female lead and her showing her boobs. Also no awesome catchphrases.

It did have its moments.. But given the subject matter and the talent he had to work with, that movie was such a let down..

Potential was off the charts.. Kinda feel like he should pull a george Lucas and let someone else handle it like with aliens

From the trailer, Mad Max looks like a new millennium remake of Road Warrior with Mel Gibson (i.e. same basic story with bigger stunts/effects). That's fine I guess, but I'm doubtful I'll like it as much as the original.

I really thought about watching this in theatres these last couple of weeks, but I held off because it had been out so long. The HD rip just dropped tonight too...so im about to check it out right now.


On another note, just watched The Immigrant and it was dope. Definitely a 7/8 movie with great performances and cinematography. It was lensed so beautifully, like watchin the Godfather

Guardians of the Galaxy Blu Ray for $15 at Best Buy.

3D version is $20 at Best Buy , Wal-Mart and Target.

3D version was actually a bit more at WM I believe.

So, I'm one of those guys that kinda hunts down movies and resells em from time to time..

Good lord, yesterday was ridiculous. It's nothing like shoes, but for movies, I'd never seen anything like this. Not for The Avengers, not for anything.

People love their exclusive covers/content. Lots of people will buy first week just to ensure that they get the copy they want, because often times, once they're sold, they aren't producing anymore.

So, with the Guardians of the Galaxy release, there were three exclusives, but the main two people wanted were the character exclusive Wal-Mart covers (I'll put pictures for everything below), and at Best Buy, there is (was, ), a Steenbok case of the film fashioned in the look of Awesome Mix Vol. 1. .

I start at WM at 6AM, get to the first store, and they hadn't even put out the films yet, so I asked one of the ladies putting the movies out if she can dig through the boxes to find the Guardians sets. I ask to get each of the five characters, but this stores shipment only got Groot, Rocket, and Starlord. I take what I can, and head to the next WM. I hit up three more WM stores within my vicinity, and I found zero Gamora sets or Drax sets, which is disappointing, as they were more limited, and it will fetch more on the market, but whatever, I got a decent loot of the three mentioned above.

I head to Target because it's actually the best deal IMO, you get a nice slipcover (although not exclusive), some exclusive digital content (the only actual content that's exclusive to any of the sets), and you pay the lowest for any of the 3D editions, 20 bucks. With a Target red card, it's not bad at all. I grab half a dozen copies just because they'll sell decently, but probably not too much above MSRP.

Then I head to Best Buy @ 9:50. They open at 10. There was literally about 15-20 people waiting outside. When the doors finally open, everyone makes a B-line directly for the Guardians display. They have about, I don't know, 30-35 copies? I actually misread where the display was, but found it quickly thereafter, as well as a stack that was on a different display. I grab about 8 copies, throw them in my bag, then head over to the main display, let everyone that was in the vicinity grab theres, and I take the rest. I go to check-out, and I hear people muttering behind me about resellers, and how unfair it is that other people don't get a chance at the movie. By the time I checked-out, there were no more copies left, and the guys behind me were frustrated seeing me buy more than 10 copies of a single movie. But hey, I paid my money, the cashier had no qualms with me buying that many, and I went about my day, . The yellow-shirt dudes who stand up front tried to question me, and stopped me to look at my receipt. I heard them talk about me over their radios, and wanted to flag me down. He asked if I were keeping all those copies for myself, and I was like yo man, obviously not, . He proceeds to tell me that there's other people that wanted the movie, and I was like, "Yeah, well that's cool and all, but I waited till everyone that was there early grabbed their copies, I grabbed what was remaining. I have already paid for it, so I'm bouncing."

I arrive at the next Best Buy at about 10:15, and they are already sold out as well. I hit up four more Best Buy stores along Northern California. ALL sold out. I've seen quick releases before, Captain America TWS and Thor TDW were fast, but this was insane. Glad I could scoop up what I could, along with some for my own personal collection, but man, that was weird.

The BB sets are already selling for 45-50 on eBay. Going to sit on it for a while, maybe until GOTG 2 comes out. You either sit on it for a while, or sell it right away.

Don't throw your slipcovers away, people will sometimes pay upto 10-15 dollars just for the stupid cardboard cover,

CA: TWS actually had some pretty neat covers too from WM.

I always get pretty happy when I see that you've posted, then as I read your post and realize how excruciatingly long it is I kind just make a mental note to get back and read it all the way thru later.
