Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Lt. Frank Drebbin is the man. Naked Gun movies are awesome. And if you like those and haven't seen it yet, definitely check out Airplane.

Ok, ima start boardwalk empire season 4 tonight.

Can it possibly be as good as season 2 and 3?

The epicness of those 2 :x

Tryna keep my expectations low.

How would you rank all 5 seasons?

S4 is just as good as S2 and S3 imo it's really a toss up.

I'd rank it:

S2
S3
S4
S1

S5

The last season is an ok ending. All in all I don't like Winter's take on Nucky even if I'm suppose to see him as a fictional character and not based on Johnson. In the end, he made it seem like Nucky was just a small man that committed an atrocious crime that had to end up paying for his past sins.

I love Johnny's responses

Documentary on Le Mans (Racing competition in France) has been checked off for me.

Doc on Arnel Pineda (Filipino lead singer of American Classic Rock band Journey) as well

Watched Like Father, Like Son. Japanese 2013 film on a well off couple with a child finds out their son was switched at birth. meet up with other parents and see their real son and how he is. Households and lifestyle differ from having money and structure to poor, working class and chaos. Young rich dad is protagonist and very demanding. I liked it but it was the type of movie you can see the plot and ending a mile away

I wanna check out the original The Gambler. Big fan of Jimmy Caan.

Every year for Christmas Eve my cousins come over and we wind up watching one of the Godfathers since my dad loves those movies. This year we might be going out to dinner though smh. Anyway, you guys have any movie traditions like that? I try to watch the first two Home Alones around this time every year. Caught one today.

Selma looks excellent but I'm going to have to wait until it hits the Blu-ray. Hits too close to home and I always come out of those theaters feeling depressed and angry.

I read that Marco Polo is just a sensationalized version of actual events and tries to give it a GoT feel but fails to find harmony between that and the historical timeline.

We usually watch some movie together, but typically isn't a Christmas movie.

:wow:  Gone Girl is so scary good, gave me chills. I can't remember being as enthralled by a story unfolding or more horrified by another flick Ina long *** time.

I watched Fargo for the first time. Really good and kept me entertained.

Coen bros really like that silent ruthless type character like in the film and 'no country for old men'.

Is the tv series good?

On par with or better.
Season 2 should be coming soon.

At the half way point of Marco Polo. Man, Bendict Wong kills his role as Kublai Khan.
Such a crazy transformation.
The show itself is more than promising.
This is a Fresh take on the Khans for sure. I don't think I've ever seen/heard the Khan Dynasty portrayed as anything more than a people that commited mass genocide in the most brutal of ways on its path to Conquering. It's interesting to see some of the other characteristics of the Khanate outside of what I remeber from World History in the 9th or 10th grade.
Not much has come of what role Marco Polo plays in his time with the Khanate or what purpose he served but this is unfolding pretty nicely.

On a scale of 1-10, right now I'm definitely over 9.
Good job Netflix, you've another winner here, in my opinion.

i love France's McDormand in this one. Her Minnesota accent cracks me up vicious film on the low. Really ironic. Kinda funny at times. Quintessential Coen Bros.

Speaking of this, I was just think about how Peter Stormare had really made quite a career for himself out of playing weirdos, psychopaths and various other types of bad guys. He's in so many things. Kudos to you, Mr. Stormare.
