Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

People thought snowpiercer was really good? It was aight. Not sure if I liked the ending or not.

Snow piercer isn't a masterpiece, just a well filmed and well acted movie with good action

Birdman and whiplash are the only two movies that can be considered masterpieces this year

Thought about Birdman but I will watch that film and another film off that critic list tomorrow. Ive gotten bored with Arrow after finishing season two.....just seem like the show is being drawn out.

Damn just watch the trailer of Birdman

meant have to say F the other two films. And Emma Stone has gotten to skinny for me.....just cant get with that body anymore.

There's someone on this board, and probably the only person on this planet that said amazing spiderman 2 was a masterpiece.

Knight of Cups looks like Tree of Life with an actual story.

Will watch it but Mallick's souring on me.

The Cabin in the Woods is so damn good,

I'm tired of all these movies w/ limited releases, I want to see Wild and Inherent Vice, :frown:

I liked that cabin in the woods put a twist in the story but when I saw then twist I was like ok, good try.

A change in my work has forced me to slow down on movies but I'm doing my best to play catch up.

Lately I have seen the following:

The Babadook, American Sniper, A Most Violent Year, Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler is one of the best of 2014. Gyllenhaal should get Oscar recognition.

The Babadook was tense and unnerving but had a horrible ending

American Sniper had a decent performance from Bradley Cooper, but the film didn't provide enough *umphf* to make it memorable

A Most Violent Year sported a good performance from Isaac and Chastain but JC Chandor is a director that I really don't like. His "artistic" vision in films is lost on me. Same went with All is Lost last year with Redford. I thought it was just artistically misguided.
