Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Updated with the best info I could find. My watchlist is insanity the next 2-3 years.

Really CP? You're really going to go watch another transformers movie? With the same Michael Bay explosions and the same plot holes with the same endings? Same trash

And another Wolverine movie? :x
Don't get me wrong, Jackman is a great wolverine but man... Over-Saturation At its finest. How many damn wolverine movies can there be? So many confusing plots and stories... Who know where the next story timeline will even be? :x

Wasting Mountain Dew money on trash :smh:

Saw Whiplash the other day, as other have stated, incredible.

Who knew a movie about Jazz drumming could be that intense? **** had me on the edge of my seat.

I thought they really captured the spirit/madness of the lust of perfection/genius in Jazz. Miles Teller is a phenomenal young actor who has a bright future and this was the perfect role for him and Simmons.

So many great scenes but my favorite had to be the scene at the Jazz club and right before Andrew's solo at the end.

Just really got to the aspect that Fletcher was always harking on of pushing past the point you think you're capable to enter a new realm of perception. His last straw was pushing him to that point of embarrasment and stripping any dignity that he hadn't already and Andrew rose to the occasion.

It wa obvious Fletcher believed he had it from the beginning through their early conversations when he talked about Andrew's motivations for being a drummer but it wasn't realized until that moment.

8.2/8

T5 is more of a franchise listing, whether I watch it in the theater or not depends. Not everything I list will get seen in a theater. Some I'll wait for Blu Ray, etc. (Hunger Games, The Hobbit's fit those categories)

And this would really only be the second true Wolverine film. The first one had Gambit, Deadpool (sort of) etc, it was X-men, with him as the leader.

This last one is the first real Wolverine movie, and this will be that sequel. The last one was solid, til the final few minutes when they somehow screwed up SS.

Just too much of the same stuff for me. I'll probably end up checking out everything on CP's list as some point or at least most of them at some point, but I only really looking forward to just a few.

Amazing what a good script, acting and direction can do. Look at Social Network. Turned the story of a nerd inventing a website into damn near a thriller.

Don't even need to call that one a guilty pleasure. Its just a good movie. I've watched it multiple times. Streep's performance is perfect and Emily Blunt is so adorably *****y. :nthat: If I was at home, I'd watch it too.

best movie of 2014

No. He doesn't. Don't let some of these ppl with bad taste tell you otherwise.

Right now ppl are just trying to hype themselves up about it since it's a Marvel movie and it's pretty much reality that the movie is coming out now. For the longest and still kinda now Marvel didn't tease or hype this movie at all so it was in the back of ppl's minds.

Ant-Man the hero aint all that important and the guy playing him isn't all that well known either but there's a chance Marvel still churns out a pretty good flick.
I consider Paul Rudd well known. He makes dope movies.
Eh, he's well known to me and you like that for his comedy. A familiar face but I really meant he's not a star especially in the action genre.

devil wears prada is great

streep's character might be my favorite but emily and anne are

My girl questioned my manhood on this morning when I played it while getting ready for work.

I gave her a  at first.

Then it changed into a IDC judge me if you must, you're missing out :pimp:

I don't know if any of you watch Graceland on USA channel, but it's a pretty cool casual summer time show.

Anyways it was weird seeing my dude Paul Briggs from Graceland in Devil Weara Prada as the habitual line stepping fashion guy

Didn't even catch that until this last watch.
