That mysterious image, which popped up on Imgur this morning, is allegedly taken from the upcoming teaser to BATMAN V SUPERMAN, and drops a bit of knowledge that has yet to be announced by the studio: that the film will, like THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY and AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, be split into two parts.

If this is to be believed, PART I: ENTER THE KNIGHT will be ready for theaters this October, while PART II will have the subtitle (DAWN OF JUSTICE) and release date (March 26th, 2016) that we already knew about.

While we should absolutely take this with a grain of salt and wait to hear official confirmation from WB, given how many Photoshop-rendered dreams of this movie bounce around the interwebs, this move doesn't seem entirely out-of-the-question. We knew that the shoot for this was massive, rumored to be 10+ months long, and that a back-to-back shoot with JUSTICE LEAGUE was once on the table. We also were aware that getting Batsy involved in this DCU was a priority, and that there was question as to whether his presence (and those of his fellow JLA members) in BVS would feel like it was forced into what would've otherwise been the MAN OF STEEL sequel. Giving Batfleck something of an "intro" movie would allow the character to breathe before pitting him against Henry Cavill's Kal-El, and would establish him as his own entity in this rapidly expanding universe.

Then again, the idea of them finishing up their work 5 months ahead of the previously-announced schedule seems…outlandish at best, unless there was some serious, SERIOUS prioritizing on the VFX/editing front.

The teaser is rumored to be attached to WB's JUPITER ASCENDING (releasing on February 17th), so we'll certainly know the veracity of this info before then, but for now, all we got is this iPhone pic to go on. What we do know is that the teaser won't be anything like the Comic-Con clip

Would be a massive surprise, but I'll believe it once fully announced.

Will catch The Imitation Game and Selma this weekend. :pimp:

That'd actually be an improvement for the Batman flick. I felt it was so stupid for DC to push the movie back cuz they were rushing and shook of Marvel only to be done with filming and sit on a movie for a whole extra year.

Now just gotta see if it'll be any good or at least better than MOS.

Does anyone like Wet Hot American Summer?

David Wain’s long quest to get a follow-up to his cult 2001 feature comedy Wet Hot American Summer off the ground is officially over. After months of deal-making and prep work, I’ve learned that filming has started this week on an 8-episode limited series for Netflix based on the film, with virtually its entire ensemble cast returning.

That includes Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Nina Hellman, Ken Marino, Zak Orth, David Hyde Pierce, Joe LoTruglio, Christopher Meloni, A.D. Miles, Marguerite Moreau, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Marisa Ryan, Molly Shannon, Michael Showalter and Kevin Sussman.

I thought it was just ok. I laughed at a few things, but its not really a rewatchable movie for me. I'll check out the sequel though, just because I like a lot of the people in it.

I'm surprised that Cooper is signed on to do the sequel considering the character he played in the original and how big he's become since then. I guess he's not worried about reprising his role as a gay camp counselor tarnishing the brand he's created for himself. Good for him.

Exactly.

If you already know you like one genre over another it makes no sense at all to pit one movie in a genre you like less to a movie in a genre you like more. It's inherently bias. That's what the **** is wrong with that. That's that near Antidope reasoning.

Makes no sense to compare either movie but we might as well end it here. I'm not gonna pretend like you didn't start this off with a reach about ppl who like GotG happen to dislike AS  That just seems like you going out of your way to still hate on GotG.

I had a feeling.

Especially since I watched the OG some time last month just to refresh my mind on how good it is.
huh? I love movies period ... No matter what genre. Someone can truly have an unbias opinion about one movie over another.

Example Avengers was a better movie than AS. Facts ...

Like I stated before I just used GoTG to rustle Jimmies ... Just cause it seemed the people that liked GoTG were the ones putting down AS. However, this goes back to what you are initially talking about.

I thought Birdman was a great movie with great acting and well executed, but I'm sure that movie is not everyone's cup of tea and the majority aren't going to appreciate it.

I knew Whiplash was gonna be good. I loved the preview when I saw it, I understood what Simmons was tryin to do to the drummer, I got it.

Then it started, I thought I had it pegged, but I didn’t. It was worse than I thought. He was certainly pushing and searching, but he was also, truly, an *** hole.

I was BLOWN AWAY by the running to get his drum sticks. Completely. Like, my God man. I thought, at that point, Simmons was going to show that “weakness” that he was down for the kid. Nope.

The ending was so incredibly wonderful, I cannot tell you how silent my house got as it came on. My wife and daughter (who were sort of in and out of the movie doin other things) FROZE. I don’t know if they blinked. It had us like that.

I honestly went online immediately after and checked to see if this was a true story, or just a random screenplay.

Simmons was amazing, truly was, and I would be fine if that dude brought home an Oscar for it.

I don’t know much about Miles Teller, but I will soon enough. He was fabulous, and looks like he really worked his *** off Bale style to do most of his own drum work. (maybe 85% of it I’m guessing?)

9/8 Been recommending it to friends and family all day long. Look forward to the day I can watch it multiple times as “background noise” and still be enchanted.

*Note, I could never be that drummer. I love the hustle, I love the heart, I get the “tough” teacher trying to get the best outta me. I would have murdered that mother ****** where he stood. Drum stick, right thru his eye. Earhole, *** hole, something was getting the second drum stick. I would have used the mans head to play the drums with. I woulda killed him. **** that.

Great Movie. Great Review.

Yeah man, that move, followed by the counter move, had me just stunned. Terrific close. I loved every detail.

Man, didn't see that Inherent Vice is also playing this weekend. :nerd:

Might do that tonight, and do a double-header of Selma/The Imitation Game on Sunday.

The ending of whiplash had me sweating. It was incredibly good.

At the end of the day he got out of him what he was looking for all his time in everyone. He said it earlier in the movie, you can crawl up or you can reedem yourself. That alone was worth his career ....

I knew that ending was coming but I wasn't prepared for how good exiting and long it was going to be.

love how the ending closed up all the loose ends and all the main characters ended up understanding the movie's message

movie reminded me of when stanley tucci told anne hathaway to quit crying, suck it up and work harder in devil wears prada
