Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

It was great watching it the first time in the theater but watching it at home there is too much dialogue and sitting around waiting for the team to form.

I can't watch avengers all the way through again. I just watch the big fight scenes and turn it off.

Exactly.

Glad im not alone on this i expected immediate backlash
I don't think that many ppl care anymore.

The way some of yall are, a good 4 or 5 years from now yall will be talking about how Cap 2 sucked and you only watch the end fight scenes.

No, we won't.

Because unlike Avengers, Cap 2 went right into action and humor from the jump.

To be fair, it's not the Avengers fault they had to show the origins of the squad forming which took a lot of screentime.
Cap 2 had already given us the origins of its
Main character in the first one (which was boring as hell) so they just went right into the good stuff and kept it going all the way through.

You don't wait 75 minutes for entertainment with Cap 2, it starts immediately.

You have to wait FOREVER for Avengers
To get any type of memorable or interesting action going.

It's probably why Avengers 2 will be successful like Cap 2. No wasted time, straight to action and story telling. Im sure it'll be a lot less of a drag than Avengers was.

Cap 2 can't suck, Winter Soldier da Gawd is in it. Hope he gets to fight the rest of the Avengers soon.

Yall say this now but I won't be surprised if yall change up. It'll just take time from what I've been noticing. If not yall another group that suddenly felt it was time that it was safe to say it sucked and they'll be praising the Black Panther movie (or something else) as superior and describing a million reasons why it's better than Cap 2.

Then 4 or 5 years after that yall will **** on that  The cycle is sick.

i usually watch all the parts except for the end battle

was fun the first few times but the end battle is the exact same as man of steel and every transformers movie

all the other stuff is what makes the movie great

Finally saw the commercial for Jupiter Ascending after seeing a trailer I barely remember from last year.

:smh:  :x It looks all over the ******* place. Like I Am # 4 on pcp. How does Tatum Channing let these ppl get away with having him look like that in a movie? :rolleyes They really wild here. They filled in so many tropes for the plot of this. First humans aint from Earth, then it's an Armageddon movie cuz the aliens are coming to harvest the Earth, a bunch of transformer like machines and pods out of Star Wars for a chase scene, there's multiple space dynasties again which is something out of a mix of SW and Star Trek, and to top it off Mila's character turns out to be royalty  which wreaked of any twist out of most space fantasy stories. Despite all that I'm almost willing to bet this gets turned in to a trilogy.

Best part about seems this seems is I'll see Eddie Redmayne as a bad guy again.

^^Watching the trailer, I get the feeling like they are trying to pull of a Fifth Element kind of vibe but it looks like they are missing badly.

I started American Sniper last week, and fell asleep before finishing it.
I just finished it, I wasn't expecting that, at all. How did I not know this would happen after so much talk about the movie in this thread. It pretty much floored me.

While I don't doubt ill be saying a future Marvel film will be better, Cap 2 is genuinely a good film. Personally Ive always been shaky on Avengers. Only phase 2 film i didnt like over it is thor 2.

Am I the only one who thinks First Avenger>Winter Soldier.
I used to think it was the best not only Marvel but comic Movie(Bale Batmans excluded), but that was before I saw Thor and then I liked it for a week but now I'm back to First Avenger as the best overall.

Never seen the show Veronica Mars and randomly was trying to fall asleep last night while having the movie Veronica Mars on (think it was on after Real Time? Can't remember.)

I was about halfway into the movie, but it was solid. Some clever scriptwriting, as surprising as that was. Plus, they recapped the entire show from start to finish essentially in the first two minutes of the movie.

None of the Marvel movies have replay value with me except GoTG. I got rid of the few Marvel blu ray vids I had.

I tried watching Cap 2 again but just turned it off. Same with Avengers. Don't get me wrong, I liked Cap 2 but will never watch it again.

I can honestly say I remember nothing from Captain America 2 even though I saw it in theaters, and I fell asleep during Spiderman 2 (the new one).

Cap 2 is like a Bourne movie for me, never gets old. Aside from that, I can watch Avengers, the first Thor, and the first Ironman. Every other marvel film is forgettable or bland.

Statham is the new Segal and I mean that in a good way. The first couple Transporters were smart (for the type of film they really were), The Italian Job, London, The Expendables, the upcoming Fast 7 will be a hit, Homeland was fairly decent for a single viewing, and the British work he did like Snatch were solid as well. He's basically Casey Ryback's son.

Cap 2 was outstanding, and re-watchable as hell.

Veronica Mars was really great, especially for having not seen two seconds of the series. I'm with ya JPZ. Witty as hell, easy to understand, solid performances from everybody, was a really good watch.

I don't know why, really don't, but for the last 2 weeks I have watched Die Another Day multiple times, and love it more each time. (The Bond film with Halle, and Brosnan's last Bond film.) I hated it the first time I ever saw it, but love it now. Much better than I remember. Even tho it has plenty of corny **** in it.
