Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Viggo: I hear you struck my son.
Aureilo: Yes sir, I did
Viggo: May I ask why?
Aureilo: Because he stole John Wick's car sir, and killed his dog.
Viggo: Oh

And am I the only one who only sees marky mark in every wahlberg movie?

Like I really wish they got a different actor for the Micky ward part.. The only movie that I really think was better for having wahlberg in it, was the departed.. I can't even think of anyone else for the other parts of the fighter

He's been in some really good movies, obviously.. But like boogie nights and the fighter I think those movies could be better with someone else in the lead role

This was like reading my opinion that I didn't have to type myself

How about that Tombstone movie w/ Liam?

Among the Tombstones? A Walk in the Tombstones?

Whatever it's called. Is it just another Taken/Non-Stop?

I watched it the other day. It's not like taken at all. it actually has very little action in it. And the story is avg. It was kinda boring to me.

Thanks, @JAYFIEND.

Gonna leave this one be, then. Between As Above, So Below and MazeRunner back2back, I need to leave 'underwhelming' be and go on a hot streak, starting w/ Gone Girl the other night. Dope movie. Ending was disappointing, but overall, I had enjoy.

Was wrestling w/ Liam's Tombstone movie or No Good Deed, then Annabelle on the 20th (my gf's pick

) and The Judge on the 27th. Excited for The Judge.

I'm with you. He's always Marky Mark to me too. Just happens that in some roles it really fits, like Ted, The Other Guys and even Boogie Nights. Other roles it doesn't work at all, like The Happening. I always have thought his performance in The Departed was overhyped. He did what he always does. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either, like some people made it out to be.

Bobby Mercer was that dude. :pimp:

I like a lot of Wahlbergs movies. I think he makes entertaining movies. Not really expecting him to get an Oscar nod...

Boggie Nights
Departed
Four Brothers(one of my fav movies)
The Other Guys
Lone Survivor
Shooter
The Fighter
The Italian Job

All very entertaining movies. Some on that list are way better than others. But still very entertaining.

I agree on Ted and 4 brothers.. I know the departed gets overrated, but he was great in it and in that role

Not I huge fan of the other guys, so I'll just not comment

^ I think I'm w/ you.

He's Marky Mark.

In The Other Guys, Marky Mark was... blah. Didn't work.

In Ted and 4 Brothers, Marky Mark worked VERY well.

But no matter what I see him in, he's Marky Mark.

Honestly though who the **** is Marky Mark? Like yall saying he's the same corny rapper persona in every movie? or just that he's the same person in every film?

I can't agree. He's just an average to below average actor in mediocre to really good movies mostly depending on if he's the protagonist or not.

I can get thinking somebody could do Boogie Nights better and maybe a few others but overall most of his movies he in aint even worth saying it.

The Bad: Mark Wahlberg is the same guy in The Other Guys, The Italian Job, Lone Survivor, Departed, etc.

The Impressive: Mark Wahlberg is the same guy in The Other Guys, The Italian Job, Lone Survivor, Departed, etc.

Not many actors/actresses have his unique ability of being able to weave in and out of genres, playing the same guy essentially, where it doesn't have a negative impact on the movie.

I don't think he's a good actor, but that's something pretty rare to me.
