Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Between the mention of With a Vengeance and seeing him in the Kingsman commercial, got me thinking that Samuel L. has appeared in more films for big franchises than anyone else I can think of. Die Hard, Avengers/Marvel, Star Wars, Jurassic Park. If he would have popped up in a Harry Potter and Indiana Jones flicks, he'd basically have them all covered:

I'm pretty sure if Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit had any black people, Jackson would have been in them.

Watching Foxcatcher white wifey shops. Had to stop the movie twice already one when he start snorting and now when his mother goes into the training session. This joint is making me all kinds of uncomfortable.

^ I'm very interested in seeing foxcatcher, especially since it all happened down the street from me and i remember all that going down when I was younger. Definitely a bizarre story though, I'll wait for it to get to hbo, though.

Togetherness on HBO is what thought Married on FX would be.
Nah, Married is hilarious. Happy with the way it is

Togetherness is something else altogether. Not surprised it's a Duplass Bros. joint.

Married is a top show for me. Music is dope too.
When I first saw the previews for Married, I thought it was going to be what this Togetherness show is, not what it turned out to be.

A Most Violent Year was awesome

The movie is definitely a slow burn, but i loved every minute of it. There was a very obvious route that the story could have taken and I'm glad it never did.

Chastain and Issac were great as always.

The cinematography was ****** dope. Probably some of my favorite work of the year along with The Immigrant.

7/8

I challenge everybody to give that Flick at least.... 10 minutes, Just 10, please. Especially you @shogun

I can't wait to see this. I've been anticipating this since the first trailer.

Y'all think Seventh Son will be any good?
Pretty sure it's gonna be trash.

A few notches above Jupiter's Ascending. So basically something forgettable like the Sorcerer's Apprentice or Priest or anything that has a fantasy like setting or period piece like feel but isn't praised for how good it is.

I'm leaning the same way. The previews do not look good. Even my man Jeff Bridges sounds a bit ridiculous in them.

(Poor guy must not be getting offered good scripts these days - last 3 movies have been 7th Son, the Giver and RIPD. Ugly)

I looked it up on imdb just now. Plot sounds raunchy. She's probably like all the ratchet girls I follow on tumblr.

My friends, I urge you all to avoid watching Runner Runner if you can.

Biggest waste of 90 minutes I can remember in my life recently.

Saw it pop-up on HBO GO and decided to watch it for the hell of it, even though I remember it getting bashed by critics.

Timberlake as a covert under-cover guy in foreign land trying to get his James Bond in was painful to watch. I don't think you guys understand, I'm being serious. It was literally hurting my eyes watching him in this movie.

Afleck though. Really bro? After Argo you follow it up with that? What a obvious cash grab for him  dude probably had less than 15 minutes of total screen time in this 90 minute movie, with the least challenging acting he's ever had to do... And probably made millions for a few weeks of work.

God damn that movie was atrocious.
The acting. :x
The plot. :x
The "action" :x

Only thing that was remotely good about the movie was JT's love interest. :nerd:
But even that wasn't enough to make watching the movie worth the time.

DO.
NOT.
WATCH.

Unless you're looking for lulz, then enjoy.

Good looking out I'll remember not to watch

On a related note I hate the term "cash grab" every movie ever made is a cash grab that's kinda the point of why they make them..

This weekend watched:

Two night stand - Fuggin HILARIOUS, and a near perfect low budget "relationship" movie(the ending sequence is utterly ******ed though).  The dialogue is just so on point. Note** Kid Cudi is a trash actor. Just horrendous.

John Wick - Enjoyed the movie, no matter how implausible the plot and poor an actor Keanu is. I usually hate movies like this, but it wasnt terrible.

The Guest - Again.. I enjoyed this movie somehow, but it was utterly ridiculous in its plot and execution. However, if you think deeper into whats going on with antagonist.. youll enjoy the film more.

Pride and Glory - Good movie, solid acting. Definitely worth a watch

Yo Die Hard with a Vengeance one of the best action movies of all time.
Might be my fav movie of all time.  Flick has soon many levels and backdrops. And I'm a sucker for any movie with an NY settings. Die Hard w/a V, Cloverfield, Cruel Intentions, Paid in Full, Adjustment Bureau etc etc

Just finished watching Foxcatcher. Good movie, but nothing spectacular besides the acting.

John E Dupont imitation was spot on superb. If you look at old footage you will see what I mean.

I didn't like they only focused on the wrestling, but if you know about John Dupont you'll know that he has more than wrestlers at his estate .

Anyways, again, good movie but nothing I need to watch again for a good while.
