Earlier tonight, TNT premiered one of their new shows for the whole new image of better shows on their networks (them and TBS).
Show is called Agent X. Only caught my eye cuz it reminds me of of Marvel comics.
The premise is interesting though and I'm surprised it wasn't a movie first. Basically, there's a secret part of the constitution the founding fathers set up where the Vice President is in command of what is basically America's version of MI6 where one agent is in play to complete various dangerous missions defending the country from threats both foreign and domestic. Yall get the idea, it's Jack Bauer, it's James Bond, etc. Oh and the ****'s so secret nobody knows about it, not even the president unless the prez use to be the veep.
The funny part to me was that being the explanation for why the VP really doesn't have any responsibilities or authority in the executive branch and is just seen as next in line and mainly has to find their own things to do to make a difference.
The show stars Sharon Stone. James Earl Jones is in it
(don't really see him in a lot of stuff). There's a few other old guys you'll recognize from tv and movies.
The eps were okay. Action could be better, plots could be interesting. Not gonna say they need better writers yet but the comparison is basically shows like 24, The Blacklist, Person of Interest, etc. and they all had better pilot eps. Right now this show is getting good will from me off it's premise.
