Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

wait? You saying the rock is the biggest action star?

Man the rock rep is ruin. Can't take that guy to serious and Hercules was a joke. It had potential but the fact that it was a drama comedy action etc fed the movie up.

It was lost of identify that was a problem.

Man... the way that JK Rowling wrote Snape's arc... beautiful. Thanks for the vid, rck.

As for Hercules, it's a shame the Rock put in so much work for such a poor product. I still have hope he puts out some good action flicks, he's still got some years left in him.

not the biggest as in how popular he is, but he is the closest thing physically we have to prime arnold who was the biggest action star both in physicality and stardom

on of the biggest problems of modern action movies is that the action "stars" are not able to do their own stunts

all the stars of the best action movies today are from the 90s like tom cruse and keanu

we dont really have any new talent when talking about action stars, of course this is also due to writers not coming up with good scripts for modern stars to be in

Why do all teen angst or teen flicks have cinematography that looks similar; Spectacular Now, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Palo Alto, etc...

Watched Perks Of Being A Wallflower. It was ok, but I thought it could've been a better movie... Wasn't bad but just felt like a dish that taste good, just missing something... Does anyone else agree?

I remember the cast and the movie ..

But not sure why ... I know there was a twist (death) and sme other stuff. .. But hey ....

I'd like to see a good medieval/sword fighting type action movie get made again. Something like the OG Conan or Beastmaster or even Krull. They just don't make those kind of movies anymore. (I guess you could count 300 in that genre, but I'm not a fan of that one).
Something like this interest you?

actually, would the hobbit movies count?

Keanu gonna be starring in Nicolas Winding Refn's (director of Drive, Only God Forgives) new movie, Neon Demon!

Keanu eating :pimp:

Yeah I get what you're saying about those types of teen films all having the same look. They definitely did have clear similarities. They probably think they're on to something so they repeat it.

And yeah there's no doubt action movies of today, the past decade especially have sucked and suffered from the 80s and 90s. Something is severely missing.

That Die Hard to Die Hard 5 comparison was on point  :smh:

How was Palo Alto, is it worth the watch?
