Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

watching cap 2 again and this is an amazing action movie

i think a major reason that pure action movies have died is that the top action directors are doing movies that are considered something other than an action movie (lord of the rings, comic book movies, ect.)

watching nick fury's car chase scene and its straight out of a classic 90s action movie

I love a good score.

He's not as well known since he's russian but Sergei Prokofiev deserves some love as well.

In addition to the other iconic scores sea manup posted, want to point out that John Williams is also responsible for the music in the Harry Potter movies, which is great.

all these movies have one iconic theme, is there any movie like starwars where pretty much every theme is super iconic?

Jon Stewart is leaving the Daily Show and Comed Central :smh:

These dudes are really ending an era. They're literally like warping my 20s and ushering me in to my 30s by doing this.

This is so ****** up.

Yes, yes you did post HP. My bad.

And as far as your question goes, I don't think there's anything quite like Star Wars. But the main Jaws and Indiana Jones themes are as iconic as anything from Star Wars. But everything from Star Wars is iconic.

welcome to old age. thank goodness i have about 5 years before that 30 mark.

^ I didn't even chuckle or smile at anything in that trailer... :rolleyes

I had the same reaction. And since Apatow directed it, chances it are good that it will be overly long and have a bunch of parts even flatter than what they showed in the trailer. If it gets great reviews I might consider watching it . . . when its available on TV.

Same here.
he means that he is going to turn 30 in 5 years, not that he was born 5 years before 1930
I was about to just quote CP and laugh @ him trying to include himself but

CP needs to start dropping gems about silent films and the stars of that era.
