Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

This looks interesting...

Also the new trailer from Cameron Crowe’s Aloha. I hope this movie is good... What a great cast.

Very good cast in that Crowe film (although I do think we're getting dangerously close to Bradley Cooper over-saturation). Seems like it has potential.

Cooper is currently America's golden boy due to the patriotism and heroism invoked by Chris Kyle in 'American Sniper.'

Chris' widow, Taya, gave very emotional testimony yesterday as the trial against Eddie Ray Routh commences.

Guy Ritchie's Man from U.N.C.L.E. starring Henry Cavill & Armie Hammer. If this is like Ritchie's Sherlock movies, I'm cool with that. Those were good pop corn, Raisinettes, & Diet Mountain Dew movies.

'Focus' will likely be predictable and more for entertainment value than quality or substance, but I'm still contemplating a theater viewing. Margot Robbie being an added bonus.

He's really good in The Spectacular Now too but he needs to get himself out of those Divergent movies
Teller is also very funny in 'That Awkward Moment.' Excellent chemistry with Michael B. Jordan to pick up Efron's slack. Imogen Poots is also easy on the eyes, she was in 'Centurion' with Fassbender as well.

I didn't mind 'Divergent,' bit of a guilty pleasure. Caught it free on HBO. Bit of a soft spot for Shailene Woodley. Offers little to no substance, but worth the entertainment value of not having to think while viewing. Will see 'Insurgent,' when released for free on movie channels.
Didn't like That Awkward Moment at all. Felt like a waste of time.

I never plan on watching Divergent. Didn't even know Teller was in that. I avoid that movie just to avoid Woodley. Hope Theo James gets in some better stuff though.

Anyone know if the full "What We Do In the Shadows" movie is on-line? I really want to see it, but so far as I can tell, its only showing at one theater in LA, with one midnight showing per day.

The major aspect I appreciated was the male concept of a roster. Your go-to versus your backup, personally can relate. I found the exchanges between Teller and Jordan to be humorous.

Even avoiding Woodley in 'The Fault in Our Stars'?

James is starring in the upcoming edition of 'Underworld.'

UNCLE
Aloha
Agent 47

All looked like decent flicks. Nothing amazing, but solid watches at least.

And the Bond footage.......yeah. :pimp:

hit me with the details. I'm going to costa rica in april so i honestly don't have the bread free for another vacation just yet but I'm always down to see what i need to save

how was the judge?

I didn't watch the first half hr of The Slap but I caught the slap part

Sylar was right to hit that kid but honestly the kid didn't seem like a threat with that bat yet so it looks like he overreacted.

Other than the cast being stacked with chicks I want to smash (Thandie, Uma, and Melissa) I'm not seeing much else plot wise. At best this seems like a slightly more controversial Parenthood.

Fault is the one where she has cancer is dying and finds love? Yeah, I remember the commercials. Didn't interest me in the least. Not that I don't like that overall genre or a love story.

As for TAM, it had a few moments like when they were schooling Michael B to how to operate in the single life again like you mention. Liked Poots but the simping was sickening. The overall story just wasn't all that good to me. The best it probably did was make me believe is Efron is a bit more than his HS musical days. Those types of movies just really don't appeal to me much cuz of the quality level. It's all just by the numbers.

Woodley seems like a weird hippie. She looked cute in this Conan interview where she played with his toes.

One of my favorite movies of all time. (Spectacular now)

Yea, it was a really really good film. The chemistry between Teller and Woodley is some of the best I've seen in a while. This film is what made me a fan of the two and that's probably what disappointed me the most about Divergent. It's just such a bluh film and those 2 are capable of so much better.

Cavill and Hammer? Ehhh

Will do. Hear Costa Rica has some of the world's best beaches, at astronomically low value to boot. Enjoy, my friend.

5/8 on @rck3sactown's convoluted scale. Explores the father-son relationship. Career success (money) versus family. Not a stunning performance from either RDJ or Duvall in all honesty.
