Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

"I'm in town to play the Dolphins, you dumb ***."

Mary was so happy when the pseudo-Favre-to-Tampa trade happened. No more Night at the Museum guy!

But then he became Jet Favre, and only visited once per year. Franks & Beans Mitty can't hold that **** down.

New show coming to NBC starring Lady Sif and apparently nobody else worth of note. Seems like it's getting a push given it's time slot.

So yall decide if it looks good cuz I can't call it. To me it's either in the lane of the Blacklist or another Believe. NBC just doesn't have the best track record with me lately unlike say FOX or ABC.

Wait hold up  So Melo was on SOA playing himself?
For real this revelation might just be enough for me to go watch the last season

My thoughts on Ex Machina...

My lord. This is like the antithesis to Age of Ultron's view on artificial intelligence. But even better. It's not as fun, but the relationships between these characters and the resulting climax and end make Ex Machina more interesting, and thus more rewarding in the end. I liked the approach the film took to the paranoia and doubt of the characters, manipulating each other and creating so much underlying tensions and emotions. Oscar Isaac killed it in his most bro role to date, and the others were right there with him.

Ex Machina 7.5/8 (adjusted 10.3125/11).

Fury Road is getting rave reviews. Currently at 97% on RT.

Yeah, I'm starting to warm up to it. I normally am skeptical about any remake/reboot, but this looks like it does a good job capturing the spirit of the original Mad Max/Road Warrior. Good reviews too - I'm in.

On a totally unrelated note, watching the original Jaws and Richard Dreyfus is brilliant. They couldn't have picked a better person for that part. Same with Quint and Chief Brody for that matter. It truly is an amazing film.

Jaws is truly an amazing film

This right here with Quint's speech about the U.S.S. Indianapolis is one of my favorite scenes ever

Also I'll occasionally use the phrase "Here's to swimmin' with bow legged women" while taking in some shots

^ great movie.. And has aged well.. Watched couple months back and talked about how movies today wouldn't even dream of trying to pull what they did

The suspense was truly gripping

The first scene. With the nekkid girl getting killed in the ocean. When you think about when it was made....ahead of its time.
Speilberg is a genius.

Loved Alicia Vikander's performance as Ava in Ex Machine. Looking forward to Oscar Isaac's role as En Sabah Nur and Poe Dameron.

Riggins man, I hope he gets a happy ending so badly #teamRiggins

See what NBC, Fox and ABC have in store for the upcoming TV season: http://imdb.to/1Eyu0Vi

Few potentially interesting things. Heroes and Muppets re-boots, a Minority Report series, a drama/cop show with Wesley Snipes.

I don't watch the show but the 12 Angry Men In Amy Shcumer ep for Inside Amy Shcumer is ******* classic

It's probably just cuz I love the OG movie and enjoy discussions about which girls dudes find hot (like in NT general) but this parody is ******* hilarious. Just the way they twisted stuff like the knife, the whole eye witness and vision thing, etc. A reasonable chub

Notable guest stars being Pete from Mad Men, Jeff Goldblum, and Paul Giammatti

The majority of the ep is them discussing it so not much worry about even seeing Amy Schumer in between.

Yeah, 12 Angry Men in Amy Schumer was pretty much a perfect episode of television.

Brilliant parody, funny jokes, and a great topic to address and it was done well.

Wasn't that excited for Mad Max but apparently its getting rave reviews.

I'm in there Thursday night, :pimp:

Been hyped for Mad Max, knew it would be a critical darling, easier to get the reboot right with the same director.
