Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Some times it's better that way. Let people enjoy what's in front of them, take in the world as it is. No need for the 'why' when the only thing that matter is the 'what,' in this case a crazy post apocalyptic world where people have gone insane. Miller truly has an imagination greater than most.

And, just cause it was brought up, I thoroughly enjoyed the blind guitarist.
The guitarist was easily one of my favorite things in the film.  So outlandish but it made perfect sense in the context of the movie.

one question about Mad Max

why were they spraying metallic paint on their mouths before they sacrificed themselves?

Man, watching true detective 'who goes there'.. Man THAT scene at the end.. Soooo freakin awesome

With Tomorrowland getting mediocre reviews, its safe to say Lindelof is confirmed a trash writer :smh:

Sucks for Brad Bird. My man had nothing but classics under his belt and was targeted to direct Star Wars, but chose TL instead :\

"what if someone has something and I want it more so I take it"
"Illegal"
"But I want it more, did he not here me"
"What if someone gets in my way and I rip his spine out"
"(Shaky voice) umm, well, that would be Mur-der, like THE worst crime you could commit, therefore also illegal"
"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on them"

Not sure how I feel about this... :rolleyes

SNL alumni Darrell Hammond as KFC's Colonel Sanders...

This is my favorite commercial right now though...

Wait.

Someone passed on a chance to direct Star Wars?

Wtf?
That's what they say to make themselves sound good and try their best to not hurt their career rep.

Wasn't it just a few weeks ago Josh Trank pulled the same thing about directing the SW anthology movie? I think it was him.

The truth of the matter is them dudes at Lucasfilm aint ******* around. They get the director's vision, try to work with them if it's not 100% vibing with the rest of the movies, and when the director still comes up short they tell them to leave. It's only cuz movie studios aren't really in the business of telling the public why someone didn't get the job that director's are given the chance to cite creative differences or something personal. Then they go direct some other movie that pales in comparison.

The Strain got renewed?
WTF, American Tele is poo. Shows start out so good, and then BAM, they hump you with wackiness.
They can't be serious

Just started Ex Machina, for the second time.
Still looking forward to it. I have that 'I'm watching it for the first time type feeling'

Can't wait to watch Ex Machina. Really optimistic about the way the summer has started at the box office, especially coming off of 2014.

Rck, True just sucks you in, it's great.
