Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Just got done watching the Babadook and I'm all kinds of confused, can anybody explain what happened at the end?

First I'm hearing/seeing of this movie, but it looks awesome.

I'm sure it's to be more realistic to their characters, but I couldn't help but notice how everyone had awful haircuts, though
The book was fantastic. And yeah the haircuts are probably to distinguish the difference between the Wall Street people and the main characters. Those who spend hundreds on a cut vs the guy who goes to Supercuts.

I can't wait to see what Gosling can do as Lippmann.

That's quite the star-studded cast the put together for that one. Pitt, Bale and Gosling, plus Carrell, Marissa Tomei (Crazy, Stupid, Love reunion) and Melissa Leo. With that cast going for it alone, IMO, it will be a big fail if isn't a hit.

Dear White People.

Interesting concept, not the best execution though. Shameful my alma mater was featured in the end credits, though not surprising.

5.5/8

They thought they were trolling but they probably just gave Sony a new lame comedy franchise that'll churn out a few sequels.

Plus the inevitable crossover; Blart Cops: Paul & Paula Police New York

Cool it, cool it, cool it, Keanu coming back for John Wick 2. Same directors as well

Might go ahead and put John Wick on in the background while I work. Baba Yaga

Let me take a moment to complain about verizon fios' on-demand service. It freakin sucks. Too many times it'll restart an episode that I wanted to continue watching. Won't even let me fast forward that ish. I'm already 47 minutes in and I gotta start the episode over.

Oh yes. I was talking with my cousin about this last month.

It is infuriating. This whole not being able to fast forward for certain movies or shows by a network is beyond dumb. Some networks will allow you to do that for some shows after like a week of it airing but others don't at all.

The key to making sure the whole thing doesn't restart that seems to work for me is pausing it first, then stopping it and then exiting out of on demand or playing another program.

Even then I'll have problems with that though.

If you stop it any other way though, it's liable to screw you over and make you start over when you try to resume playing :smh:

Cuz of this there's been a few shows I just gave up on watching  or other times I'll play it and just leave and watch tv in another room :smh: :x

Yeah i've been doing well with pausing and then pressing the exit button but now it's failing me. The worst is how the shows you don't want to watch will have the full season of episodes up but then the show you want to watch will have episode 1 taken off but the rest of the episodes. I just yell at my tv.

They did that for Mr. Robot and a few other shows.

3 weeks in they took off the pilot and only had eps 2 and 3 available. I just started directing friends to certain sites that had everything available.

If stuff like that continues to piss me off I'll complain to Verizon. Them dudes need a suggestion box for Fios on demand.

Pitch Perfect 2 - I'm liking it. Got a bad wrap. It's different from 1, but actually on a good way IMO. Plus, I would marry Brittany Snow ... regardless of the fact I'm already married...polygamy seems cool...I'll convert to Mormonism...
