Watched the last 45 mins or so of the last transformers movie..

I really really dislike Michael bay.. I had to go read the synopsis to even try and make any sort of sense of what that was supposed that was supposed to be.. And you've got a couple of actors in that who have done decent work before

Between him and fox/singer my childhood is getting crapped on every summer

He was speaking about cable shows.

And The Sopranos was groundbreaking and showed that you could basically tell an epic, cinematic story over the course of several seasons on TV and people will watch it. Oz was actually the first major HBO drama like that, but The Sopranos showed that television could be THE medium to tell these kind of stories for the 21st century. You didn't have to squeeze in all your characters, story, ideas, into a 2 hour movie, you could explore it all over the course of years

If anyone is interested in this kind of stuff, Alan Sepinwall's "The Revolution Was Televised" http://www.amazon.com/The-Revolution-Was-Televised-Slingers/dp/1476739676 is a GREAT history of the most important shows on television.

Thank you & Repped.

People nowadays are so vocal proclaiming Breaking Bad is the GOAT. It got annoying real quick.

Prisoners of the moment.

Common Will Face Off Against Keanu Reeves as Villain of JOHN WICK 2

http://geektyrant.com/news/common-will-face-off-against-keanu-reeves-as-villain-of-john-wick-2

John Wick 2 has just found its big bad.

According to THR, actor/rapper (and recent Oscar-winner) Common is set to play the film's "chief villain, a head of security for a female crime lord." That raises some interesting questions (namely, who is this female crime lord and which actress will ultimately play her?), but any more information is frustratingly hard to come by at this point. With production set to begin this week, we'll hopefully know more soon. Reeves had some intriguing things to say about the sequel recently, but didn't offer many concrete details about the movie's plot.

The original John Wick was co-directed by David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, but the sequel will only be helmed by Stahelski. Star Keanu Reeves is coming back ("yeah, I'm thinkin' [he's] back") to reprise the title role of an assassin who dove back into the underworld to get revenge on a gangster's son who murdered his dog. Meanwhile, Common will play a mysterious role in Warner Bros.' upcoming Suicide Squad film next summer.

 Sound like Common is about to lift his character from that Neeson Run All Night movie where he was trying to kill Liam Neeson for Wick 2 just with a new job title and trying to kill Keanu

 People really offended I called BB the GOAT? Jeez, it's just one mans opinion... not asking anyone to agree, just how I truly feel. Sopranos, another great show.. had too many filler episodes of storylines I (meaning me) didn't care about, just like I'm sure BB had some for you as well. Like someone said, it's all subjective. The Wire to me is better than the Sopranos as well.

Those three shows are undeniably the best I've seen thus far, though. I just had much more attachment to Breaking Bad to consider it the best for me.

i still have not watched an episode of game of thrones beyond the first one. the first ep sucked imo. am i really missing out on THAT much?!

It did suck and was boring to me. For some reason I kept with it and was introduced to greatness.

I'm biased because I love GOT, but you personally may not be missing out on anything. The show isn't for everyone. If medieval period pieces and fantasy don't interest you at all, then you probably wouldn't be that into GOT. If that's not the case, you may want to at least give it a shot beyond just the first episode.

Can't judge a series off a first ep guys :smh:

Even shows I think suck I gave 3 eps and if it starts off good I give it a full season try before I completely give up.

this is generally true but most of the shows that i've really liked, i enjoyed the first ep. most notable recent example was mr robot. first scene of the first ep was already good. some of the shows i stuck out the first season were true blood, penny dreadful and walking dead and i ended up thinking all of them were garbage and a waste of my time. still angry at myself for sticking through 2 seasons of the strain :smh: maybe i'll leave GOT for later as i don't usually care for medieval time period shows/movies.

I love Penny Dreadful. I still watch the strain because I allow myself to watch one or two dumb shows. I dropped twd because it became too stupid to watch.

Understandable.

Reason why I couldn't get into Boardwalk Empire. I just couldn't passed the time period.

Having said that, I still think you should watch the first season of GoT. Show is not only immensely entertaining & addicting, the storyline/writing is brilliant.
