Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Game of Thrones just has SO MUCH to introduce with the show, and they hit the ground running with Jon Aryn and the King coming to Winterfell.

The problem is there's so much depth to the characters, actions, events, that until you understand all the players, it just doesn't feel that exciting at first. Although I was hooked by the cliffhanger at the end of the pilot, but it did take me until halfway through the 1st season to fall in love.

All true. And for me, the fact someone got beheaded in the 1st 10 minutes of the premiere suggested I was watching something different. And I think wolves are awesome. So, the 1st ep had plenty to sell me.

i'll sit through season 1 since i have time since i stopped watching heroes reborn, minority report and scorpion. those were crap.

That's how I feel anytime I try to watch a regular network show. I'll tune in because the premise seems cool, then I'll watch and just be thinking the whole time that the writing and acting doesn't compare to cable shows.

It's crazy how now almost all the best dramas are not on network tv. Pressure of ratings sort of handcuff them.

Only fun network 1 hour shows I watch are Sleepy Hollow and the cw shows.

I watched the 1st 2 seasons of Game Of Thrones and stopped. It's just too slow for me. It's good but it's slow. I honestly enjoyed Spartacus way more.

spartacus was good, sometimes it got into the softcore porn territory. The actor they got to replace Andy was such a beta though. I would've enjoyed the last few seasons if they had cast a better, badass actor. That little boy who was raping people in the last season was the worst though. He's in my top 3 characters I hate the most ever on television.

It took me a few episodes to get used to the replacement but by the last season I thought he did real good. Dude that played Caesar was PERFECT.

I keep trying to get in to Spartacus but can't.

I know if I'm late cuz I don't even know what network it originally aired on but there seems to be several different titles for it. Spartacus: Blood & Sand, Spartacus: Arena, Spartacus: I'm LOST

I think I tried the first ep but couldn't get in to it. Acting wasn't all that good either.

Spartacus blood and sand was first season

Gods of the arena, was the 2nd season that was a prequel because the guy who played Spartacus got sick

Then it was 'vengeance', with a replacement actor and picks up from events of season 1

And 'war of the damned' was the end

I wasn't a fan of the new dude wh played Spartacus.. Sooo the first two were good (spartacus wasn't really in the prequel).. I finished it just to finish it but it fell off a bit (wasn't really the greatest, but was entertaining)

Pete Rose is the closest thing we have to Joe Pesci these days and that's even with Pesci still here.

Looking forward to seeing this November 6th:

Unfortunately, "Spotlight" is being overlooked because of all the Spectre hoopla.

But I've heard from several people that this is a strong contender for best film of 2015.

That back to the future doc on netflix was really good. As far as the facts about the movie, I would have really liked to hear more about Crispin Glover. He was mysteriously absent from the documentary.

crispin glover is a weirdo. They probably wanted to keep the doc positive and not talk about him.

Claudia Wells is still looking fine.

I feel like the real him is his willard character where he hangs out with all those rats.

Is it called back in time? Or is it another documentery?

Yeah he is weird, which is why I wanted them to talk about his role in the film. It's strange they talk about damn near every character in the movie but don't even mention his name once. At least if he's not in the doc, give me a juicy story about him behind his back

Him and biff seem like they've moved on and don't want to do stuff or talk about the movies.

Glover's had a weird thing about BTTF ever since they wrote him out of the second one. I think he barely acknowledges his role so it's not surprising he'd be looked over in the documentary

Kind of don't blame those guys for feeling that way since I would guess there's a lot of people who only associate them with those movies. MJF, Leah Thompson and Christopher Lloyd are all also known for other things.

Crispin Glover don't rock with BTTF anymore  He seems weird but he's a real good actor.

Wish he'd play a serial killer to get more recognition. He would've fit in great on Hannibal.

 This would be overlooked with or without Spectre coming out.

It's a movie about the real events that led to exposing those pedophile priests around the world and the lawyers that protected them.

Plus we know action movies will always get top billing, especially iconic franchises that have had a recent string of successful sequels.
