The new 24 cast Corey Hawkins (Dr Dre from Straight Outta Compton) as the new lead...

Pretty interesting... But the show runners/writers suck so it'll still probably be a flop

Had no idea Corey Hawkins was in the latest season of TWD since I saw Straight Outta Compton afterwards, blew my mind. Good choice, natural lead but hope the writing can match his pedigree.

Friend of mine saw Dirty Grandpa and said it was hysterical.. couldn't believe DeNiro allowed himself to be apart of it.

I wanna check it out myself but if it's the asinine humor I can mess with it for an hour and a half of my time *Ye shrug*

Why is De Niro taking so many of these types of roles?

Probably because that's what he's being offered and its a relatively easy paycheck for him. Pretty clear that he stopped worrying too much about the quality of most of his projects years ago.

Yup. Very easy money and he probably pushes a lot of it right into the Tribeca Film Festival.

Zac Efron is rarely if ever in quality movies.

Robert De Niro in his older age has made room to be in crass movies or projects that don't require much of his talent for the pay check.

Dirty Grandpa really doesn't seem like a movie you go out and watch or review

When studios buy movies from festivals such as Sundance, do they have the power to reshoot the movie/make changes to final edits before they head out to theatre or are they simply controlling the rights for when it's released?

I need Deniro to make one more gangster film. See him as the Godfather or something
Oh he'll still be doing great movies and gangsta flicks.

He got something with Pacino and Pesci I think directed by Marty. A crime flick. We've mentioned it a few times here and there. The Irishman I think it's called.

I watched a good chunk of The Day Reagan Was Shot (I think that's the title) which is obviously about the assassination attempt.

The movie was okay, solid flick from what I saw but was completely astonished me was the stupidity and near unprofessionalism and fear. Like I don't want to ask how dumb politicians can be given this current presidential race giving a good answer but I'm left thinking the movie had to be more fiction than fact with the way ppl were acting.

The level of fear in not wanting to make bush the acting Prez, the overreacting, just how so many dudes were paralyzed, then when **** might be going down ppl want to be bureaucratic and wait when decisions needed to be made.

Came off so surreal.

Didn't him and Pacino just do a crime/gangster movie a few years ago, which sucked? Maybe Marty's involvement can save this next one.

De Niro's definitely taking the Brando (when he got up there in years) approach to movies

The Irishman is going to be a got damn masterpiece, bruhs.

I'm calling it RIGHT NOW.

De Niro/Pesci/Marty don't miss & on top of that they're throwing in Pacino...

Fuggedaboutit :pimp:

Yeah a few years ago. Wasn't good. That was a check too.

Obviously Marty makes the difference. I can't name a movie by him that sucked.
