I've seen it a handful of times, one of my favorites. Caught this though a while back (spoiler for the freaks out there who have not seen it yet). And hit me with the ultra late pass because I just never noticed it :lol: -

When the BPD is gathered for the wired meet between Costello and the Asians, Dingnam (Wahlberg) eyes Sullivan (Damon) with his hands in his pocket using his phone to tell Frank to shut their phones off. My mind was blown when I finally noticed that. Really solidifies why he was waiting to off him at his apartment to end the movie.

I haven't watch The Departed in a couple years but I thought the reason Marky Mark was waiting at Damon's crib was because Leo had sent him copies of the tapes too
 
Everything was great about the departed except the last shot of the movie. Went overboard lol

Been busy haven't seen too many movies. I did watch sicario and i really liked it for the most part. Would def watch again. Great thriller even though it felt a bit simple at times. Ending was great.

A few seasons into the shield. Really digging it. You can see how other shows built off of it.

yeah I thought the same thing, he seems out of place.. since all I ever see him doing is rom coms. but it looks decent I guess, i'll check it out tonight :nerd:

definitely does seem like a movie thats been done before, maybe I'm thinking of Fracture with Gosling.

No you're right, it was. But the scene I mentioned shows how Wahlberg was suspicious of Matt Damon the entire time.
 
Glad I'm not the only one that liked Jack Reacher. And I love that last scene of The Departed.
I had forgot about Wahlberg and was pissed Damon was getting away with it

Rewatching series is great because you already know the major plot points so you can focus more on the minute details you might have missed before.

pearl harbor? i would think jurrasic park is more well-known but it was only filmed in hawaii and actually supposed to be set in a remote south american island i think.

Reminds a bit of some of the stuff covered in Dexter. I ignore the specific devil stuff for metaphor.

Martin sheen is a high ranking officer in the film , so costellos crew throwing him off some building in the middle of the day really seems unlikely for a organized crime mob , also seems like martin sheens death would have been a HUGE deal and at the very caused castellos crew to come in for questioning .

Leo getting access to all of Frank's recordings and not going straight to the police was pretty idiotic , and before that when leo finds out about matt in the police station instead of playing it cool he flees and goes on the run , for seemingly no reason :lol:

Some random guy showing up to murk Leo and to say about five lines at the end of a 2 1/2 hour movie was just plain frustrating :lol:

Damon girl clearly knew he was a rat , the person that sent her the evidence of him being a rat was murdered in shootout....that your rat boyfriend was apart of :x :lol:

After sheen character gets popped matt hears Leo's voice on the phone , from that he can assume it's a young guy in his 20's , early 30's ... so the new guy in Frank's mob that use to be in the police academy would be an easy choice for the rat ...

And how exactly did Frank's #2 police mole find out about Leo and matt's meet? ...
