Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Glad I'm not the only one that liked Jack Reacher. And I love that last scene of The Departed.
I had forgot about Wahlberg and was pissed Damon was getting away with it

That's why I liked the ending. I literally had forgotten about Wahlberg's character, thought Damon was in the clear and bam! KIlled off just as easily as anyone else in the film. Savage as ****. :smokin

New before I even opened it that Alabama would be Forrest Gump lol great film though.

And of course Florida would have Scarface.

my first thought was pulp fiction

Heat
Training Day
Collateral
LA Story
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Valley Girl
Karate Kid
Boyz N the Hood
Friday

And those are just a few more off the top of my head and just set in SoCal. There's also a ton of movies that take place shot/ in SF/Bay Area. Basically, there's so many iconic movies that were shot in California that its kind of ridiculous to even try and single one out as the "most famous."

^^ Great list

I think Clueless got picked because it's probably known worldwide / within Middle America. It also airs regularly on cable.

And just and FYI..

Most famous movies shot in the Bahamas have to be (in no order): silence of the lambs, casino royale, thunderball, license to kill and a couple of the POTC movies

It's simple really what writer would set a movie in Vancouver?

Unless you're writing a movie about how lots of movies are filmed in Vancouver

i dont mind it at all, I cant see any movie being based in this city unless its a small indie movie

but it's dope to watch a movie or TV and know exactly where they are shooting

big budget movies will always be based in american cities just because more people will be able to relate

I'm sitting here watching Paycheck (please do not ask) and realized how much this reminds me of an old school point and click adventure

i always enjoy that. they filmed a pretty cool scene in waikiki for punch-drunk love. for so many shows like magnum, hawaii 50, dog the bounty hunter etc, it's funny when they're driving to a certain area but they're going the wrong way.

this reminded me of when they were filming hawaii 50 about 4 doors down from my apartment. they started setting up super early and it was loud when they were filming. i stuck my head out the window and yelled "it's too effing loud" and ruined the take lol. it was like 530am though. ridiculous.

Some men just want to watch the world burn
negative , I stated the movie is still enjoyable . The first hour and 45 minutes are absolutely amazing ...no questions ...everything about the movie is :pimp: :wow: but the last 25 minutes are a friggin mess lmao , like someone else said Marky mark popping Matty was pretty satisfying but there's other ways to have gotten to that same scene . And they sure as heck don't involve A SECOND CASTELLO MOLE coming almost literally out thin air in the last 5 minutes ...

How this guy know about the meeting? Because if he had been trailing Leo he coulda popped him before hand , months ago even ..
Not to mention anthony anderson sees a dead body on the floor and completely drops his weapon , minutes after he had it raised not trusting anybody .

Still not getting it.

Maybe I need to re-watch one more time cuz every time I watch it I thoroughly enjoy it from beginning to end. It all made sense to me.

For all the fellow Twilight Zone fans here, have you seen Night Gallery (Rod Serling's follow-up to TZ)?

Yeah, they show it Mon-Fri on MeTv @ 2am and 2:30am depending on how long the movies they air before that run.

It's cool but to me that seems way more dated than TZ. You can tell it's a 70s production. Plus I grew to love the black and white of TZ so I don't care for it being in color. The concept for the show is very cool. Some of the stories are even way more out there. I can kinda see why it wasn't a hit like TZ.

Rod Serling aint lost it in the least though :smokin

I've mostly been getting it in with the hr long Alfred Hitchock Presents. :pimp:

First time watching 'Three Kings' movie was awesome!
Good humor. Spike Jonze was my favorite character.

I see where you're coming from. But it's still entertaining as hell. Definitely in my top 5.

Anybody watch internal affairs? It's the Chinese film it's based off of. pretty good too but I still prefer Departed
