Caught some of There Will Be Blood today
Reminded me of how good Paul Dano was in this . That church scene with him getting pay back for when he got slapped around was great. I don't remember but he deserved nominations across the board.
Also props to Paul Thomas Anderson and the cinematographer for such a beautiful looking and beautifully directed movie. There are some long intro scenes capturing the scenery and extended scenes before they end. When they struck oil and it lit fire, on horses looking at the landscape, at the beach 
Think it goes without saying me needing to praise DDL's masterful performance. I drink your milkshake.

Brooklyn, legit, is up there with Spotlight as the best film of 2015. I loved Brooklyn so much more than I thought I would.

Brooklyn, The Danish Girl, and Carol are the only big Oscar movies I still need to see I think.
Caught The Night Before today.. I loved it. It was one of those movies that within the first 5 minutes you can already tell you love the tone, style, and humor. I was looking forward to it since I like the cast and the director was reuniting with them from 50/50, which was a personal favorite of mine. I'm a sucker for Christmas movies in the first place, so a Christmas comedy starring some of my favorite actors, great cameos, funny premise and twists, all of it worked for me.
It wasn't a fall on the floor, crying out loud non-stop kind of movie, but most of the jokes landed, the homage and references to other Christmas movies were clever, the characters were three dimensional and developed, and Michael Shannon acting as the "ghost of Christmas past, present, and future" was awesome. It's definitely going to be added to my yearly Christmas watch-list.

I thought the intro with Times Are Changin by Dylan was one on the best intros to ANY movie, of all time. The music just made the movie seem so much more significant. It gave life to the social issues that were hinted at

from the style, to the music, to the costumes, to the characters, to the cinematography, I just dont see him doing anything as good as watchmen with these DC movies
that intro showing the history of caped heros then rorschach describing each heroes downfall later on in the movie without the visuals makes for great rewatchability

Bad Boys 3 is getting pushed back, there's a release date and that's it. No way it goes from no director/cast/script to made in a year.
