So I was rewatching the OG android thriller Westworld today and I stumbled across some awesome awesome info while reading up on it.



Joint looks LIT!!! The cast :pimp: the visuals :pimp: HBO :pimp: I can't believe I've never heard of this, and it comes out this year!!!

Random thought, but me and my girl just got Netflix like a month ago.

Kinda wack so far.

I've searched everything I could think of, and like nothing I like is on there.

Bronx Tale.

The Wire.

Nope.

Sex Tape.

Nope.

Little Mermaid. Lion King. Aladdin.

Nope, nope, nope.

That computer movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, She or Her or whatever.

My wife uses our Netfix account and has found it very hit and miss since we've had it. There are periods where she finds a lot of stuff on there and periods where she barely watches it.

I just settle for whatever movies I can find on "cable" in order to justify paying for several versions of all the premium movie channels.
 
I can never find the movies I want on NF but I've watched a bunch of great movies just scrolling threw the options

Yeah but that's a lot of work. First you gotta get up, take it out of the case, put it in the player, turn on the tv if it's off, press play.

Also there's the risk of if I don't like the movie, I still own it.

Streaming provides way more freedom and a larger library to cater to your taste. After you sign up the first time it's simply clicking play from then on.

I will admit finding great movies is a problem simply cuz of the amount of options. Netflix thread don't help me much cuz there's too many pgs to go through. I find more luck in here when somebody randomly posts a list of 10 movies you should watch. Once it gets an idea of what you like you'll be suggested even more movies you'd never know to check out.

It be the movies I have no clue to watch on there and then I start something that ends up whack.

The problem isn't that there's literally NOTHING on NF.

To use a literal analogy, it's trying to find neeedles in haystacks.

There's tons of crap I'm not even remotely interested in.

Like someone had told me I just HAVE to watch this football show. Blue... something. I don't know. Saw 3 episodes. Wack af.

Archer was another suggestion. And another nope.

Anthony Jeselneck (sp?) and Louis CK standups came through for me. :smokin

My girl likes OITNB. I think it's trash, but she likes it, so we'll throw that in there.

And she has found a ton of Sharknado type movies, some killer mermaid nonsense.

Blah.

Like I said, largely unimpressed so far.

I totally get you. That's why I say you gotta let the Netflix server know your taste by watching movies you already like, then they'll be a whole category suggesting movies you might like based on other movies you watched.

I had the same problem on NF when I stopped using it for a while and came back. Technically I still got the problem when I go on but I know there's diamonds in the rough so I aint cancel.

You just need to PM @calibeebee  when you want something to watch.

Shows though, just watch all of the NETFLIX originals (Hemlock Grove most don't like though)

Movies like you said are hard to find because of the layout.

I usually Google "best Movies on Netflix" "best Thrillers on Netflix" "best Comedies on Netflix" etc etc etc.

But, you don't need to watch anything on there, nothing, until you've knocked out Black Mirror, House of Cards and Peaky Blinders

I have like 100+ movies on my queue that I'll probably never get through and watch.

There's a ton I'd want to watch on Netflix, even if there's not a ton of my favorite, go-to movies.

I hate doing that because... I have my favorite movies. :lol: I ain't on CP's level, but I'm definitely big on buying it if I like it. I would feel like I'm going to Family Video to rent something I already own. :lol:

But... if I want better suggestions, I need it to know what I like, like you said.
