Actress-singer Zendaya lands a lead role in Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man’ movie: http://imdb.to/21TfdoW

Another Spider Man reboot? Seriously? This is getting ridiculous.

I don't think it's a "reboot" tho, moreso just a continuation.

Pretty sure they all know we don't need any more High School stuff, how he got bit, etc. They'll probably just pick up as everyone already knows who he is and how he got this way.

^^^ IDK, the IMDB write up says the new movie is going to focus on a "teenage" Peter Parker and refers to it as "reboot." I hope you're right though, CP.

its a reboot that ignores his origin and he'll be in high school. He's appearing in Civil War!

So kinda half and half then? Teenager, but not full on reboot, kinda? :\

Iono, I was loving the Social Network Spiderman, wish they woulda just kept going with that series.

Yeah. His intro will be in Civil War, maybe they'll gloss over his origin there then for his movie just get into his problems.

OK. I guess that's better than doing the origin story yet again, but I'm still not excited for this. But I do approve of them casting Marissa Tomei as Aunt May.

My sentiments are the complete opposite of yours.

Hated the Andrew Garfield spidey movies. The first one was ok/meh but the sequel was down right pathetic. CGI was buns & the villains were :x

And I also approve of Marissa Tomei as Aunt May...

About time Aunt May gets her sexy on :pimp:

I thought everybody knew by now

It's a reboot, set in HS AGAIN. Don't think they'll redo the origin though. All that Andrew and Emma stuff is done with.

The only + is Spidey is in the MCU now.

Yea, the Spidey movie is a reboot but the next movie coming out is going to completely skip the origin

So no one is going to see Uncle Ben die for the millionth time, don't worry

The Family on ABC is interesting..I'm pretty sure I know the twist already tho

The commercials reminded me of the movie Changeling with Angelie Jolie. Sad and depressing story.

I like it too so far.

The obvious twist is he's not their son and somebody paid to make up the DNA test.

I just want to know why. May also be that the neighbor that got arrested actually did kill the kid and this is part of a larger plot.

The most far fetched part of this show is the father smashing the fine black detective

The other reporter chick is fine too

Yeah, i'm in on the Family, the end of the first ep had me hooked.  It reminds me of the Imposter kind of
Steve McQueen hasn’t released a new movie since 2013’s 12 Years a Slave, but he’s been busy working in TV. Specifically, he’s been plugging away at Codes of Conduct, a HBO series described as “Six Degrees of Separation  meets Shame.” With a fantastic cast including Paul DanoHelena Bonham Carter, and Rebecca Hall, the New York City-set drama looked all set to be the network’s next critically acclaimed hit.

But we haven’t heard much about it in a while, and now we know why. Buried in a larger report about HBO’s woes is the detail that the network has decided not to move forward with McQueen’s Codes of Conduct, after initially giving it a six-episode order.

Codes of Conduct  was to follow a young black man with a mysterious past as he navigates through New York high society. Newcomer Devon Terrell  was selected to play the lead, Beverly Snow, and given that McQueen was also the one who plucked Lupita Nyong’o out of obscurity (in 12 Years a Slave) we were very excited to see what Terrell could do. HBO has not said why it opted not to proceed with Codes of Conduct.

THR says HBO has “scrapped” Codes of Conduct, after McQueen had already shot a pilot. It’s one of several high-profile projects that have been shut down late in the process. Just today, we wrote about the possibility of Westworld  — originally slated for 2015 — getting pushed all the way to 2017, and we’ve previously covered the behind-the-scenes troubles onDavid Fincher’s Videosynchrazy  and Utopia. The Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt-produced Lewis and Clark  has been halted, too.

Still, that doesn’t necessarily mean all hope is lost. The trade also notes that Codes of Conduct  or these other shows could be revived down the line. “We make no apologies for sticking by a project we believe has the potential to be great,” said HBO programming president Michael Lombardo. “Unfortunately, we also at times find ourselves in the position of deciding not to move forward with others. That is never fun, but that is our business.”

Meanwhile, maybe McQueen can start running down some of the other projects on his to-do list, including a heist thriller with Gone Girl  author Gillian Flynn  (whose Utopia, as mentioned above, was also shut down by HBO) and a biopic of performer and activist Paul Robeson  which already has Harry Belafonte on board to star.
I'm hoping David Simon's The Deuce survives if Vinyl doesn't ruin things for the 70's period drama

First episode had me thinking the mom had something to do with her son missing to help her political career

First episode had me thinking the mom had something to do with her son missing to help her political career
yeah, like she paid someone to fake the dna test so that she could use the story in her run for governor

also once again we have the drunk person being the first one to call it out and no one believes him because he's drunk

and what's the deal the with the daughter and the ship in that guys house, who put it there, did the mom plan this whole thing out 10 years ago?

if so where is the real son?  Was she working with that guy that was locked up to pull this off all along?  I have questions....

Yeah there is a lot of twists here man. The mom is def behind it I believe. She's feeling guilt knowing that's not really her son

Nah the daughter obviously thought that guy did it cuz he's creepy and planted the ship in the bottle in his house to make him a main suspect. That's most likely why she went to confess.

I don't think the mom is behind all of this. That'd be incredibly sick and if she was that ruthless to have her son killed/raped/tortured or just taken she would have no real sympathy for this stranger pretending to be her son.

I think that hunter guy is the one that kidnapped this kid and did all that stuff to him for 10 years while the neighbor actually did kill the family's son.
