Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Only been one ep since. Doubtful from what I read in the Vinyl thread.

Think a lot more ppl are gonna binge it when the season is done.

It's what I had to end up doing for S2 of True Detective.

HBO have had a few weaker S2s since all the change up in the departments.

Streaming subscriptions are essentially going to compete against each other to the point where we'll have 10-15 above the prices we were paying to have them all with cable.

I feel like we're being fooled to indulge in this direction with the current basement-level prices, and once it's a relative norm in America to be getting rid of cable and go exclusively with curated streaming of one's own choice is when it's going to take a wrong turn. Theorize, mobilize, lobotomize.

All of the shows exclusive to the streaming sight can still be found elsewhere. Same for movies and other long ended shows they have the seasons to.

Yeah I don't think anyone whose computer/internet savvy is too afraid of streaming prices sky rocketing.

If prices get too absurd, we're all resourceful enough to watch the shows without streaming services. I'm sure they know that too.

MM :pimp:

Thought he was playing a confederate soldier straight up at first. Then they came with the switch up :smokin

Might be a bit cheesy but looks fun.

Caught Spy tonight. Pretty funny. Statham was great. McCarthy too, once she went into super profane mode. Good stuff.

Yo Spy was great, man. Statham's character was hilarious. That rant of his when he kept coming up with more and more ridiculous things he had done on his missions  I laughed so hard man.

So I never watched hot fuzz because it just didn't look like my type of humor. Saw it on Netflix and thought what the hell, I'll give it a try.

Movie really is a god damned masterpiece. One of the most intricate movies ever made. Ever scene is chalk full of Easter eggs, meticulous call backs, inside jokes, clever references, etc. like ever little detail in every scene ties into something else it's insane. The bad boys II references had me dying throughout.

I suggest if you haven't seen it, or maybe just breezed through it your first watch, give it a view or two. You won't be disappointed.

I watch Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead like three times a year.

GOAT status. :pimp:

No love for The World's End? That film's going to age just as well as the other 2. The more I watch it the more I like it.

The Correneto (sp?) Trilogy might be the best comedic collection of films ever.

Same here. I love all of Edgar Wright movies. He's gotten better with each thing he's done. Have you seen Spaced? Great show.

So the reason for me not watching Hot fuzz was because I didn't like Sean of the Dead all that much when it came out. I was also 17 years old at the time and probably just didn't get it.

So Sean of the Dead is just as good/maybe better? I didn't even know about Worlds End until reading up on Hot Fuzz. I should watch that too yes?
