I'm sorry but Rich Forever is album quality to me and should have been GFID. Before Mastermind I listened to that tape more than any other Ross project and I think it's him in his lane and at his best.

This is still to me hands down Ross' best verse ever. He rode that beat like a Kentucky Derby jockey. DAMN HE WASTED A MASTERPIECE!!!

agree. Rich Forever is the better project out of all of those. it just sounds more complete, and well balanced.
 
Mafia Music 2 is his best song. I guess he didn't put it on Teflon Don cuz it leaked early. I put it as the Intro on my copy. :pimp:

Mafia Music 2 is a top 5 Ross song, truly outstanding

I've been rocking' with Rawse since Port of Miami. I've seen his growth. I've seen his career get stagnant. I'd probably say between Deeper than Rap and Mastermind.........he was in a comfort zone and the music....while good it didn't utilize Rozay's talent. Mastermind is the album we should've got after Deeper Than Rap. MAYBE after Teflon Don. Its his most complete album to date. Its the only album for me in his catalog that you can play straight through and the sound his consistent. And whoever put the songs together in that order did a SOLID job.

I wish we could've got another Justice League Maybach Music track but Mafia Music 3 will hold me over for now. Very good album from Rozay....

This talk about "overhyped" or whatever......listen to albums and be your own judge. Don't read any opinions before you listen to a album. There is no way anyone can say this is "overrated" or "overhyped". If it didn't move you then say that.

This is truly Ross' best album to date. I wasn't expecting it to be this good.

I personally like "Ugh!" and "Rozay!" Ross more than I like "BAWSE" Ross.

I actually agree with you. Though you didn't say it I do personally feel that Port of Miami is his worst album. But that doesn't mean tis a bad album like you stated.

You can't listen to Rozay now and listen to Port of Miami. I've tried it and I didn't realize at the time how much he lacked charisma or flow on that album. The production was stellar like all of his albums but he wasn't in his zone yet. Trilla is when he sort of began to find that lane. POM is his worst album to date.
 
GFID is unlistenable to me outside of 2-3 tracks.

That album was the main reason I had no desire for mastermind.

Glad I still gave Mastermind a shot. I havent been able to listen to other recent releases as much. I just end up wanting to put this on lol

mafia music 2 and cigar music are the 2 best songs ross ever did and both didnt make his albums. well cigar music did as a bonus track.

MM2 is legendary.

this is probably his most sinsstent album..teflon don would be #2. deeper than rap has 9 of his best tracks ever though..those were his highest highs. the 5 trracks in the middle though are horrendous. either way those are his top 3.




port of miami>trilla.. trilla aged awfully..and the whole joint sounds like a dj khaled album. maybach music was the spark though. and i secretly love tpains verse on boss.

I agree with you on GFID. Only listenable songs off of that album are "Ashamed" and "Ten Jesus Pieces" imo


Edit: Future or Quavo would've been money on the hook for War Ready. Tracy T sounded too much like Young Thug.

Am i the only one who thought the album was kinda meh? I don't feel no cohesion on this album (problem for alot of music nowadays). Feats were meh also. Couple good songs couple bad ones and rest were meh

Pirates, Ashamed, MM4, Sixteen, Amsterdam, Hold Me Back (gym track), Presidential, Ice Cold, Diced Pineapples, Ten Jesus Pieces, Triple Beam Dreams, Rich Forever...that's 12 outta 17! :lol:

I don't know I just cut for that album. I didn't realize I was in the minority. I'm on iTunes right now and I guess going back and comparing it with his other albums it ain't as strong as some of his other stuff but unlistenable??? C'mon fam!

Man MM2 & Cigar Music get so much burn during herb sessions.

Two of the smoothest songs in all of Hip Hop
 
GFID was a real good album to me. Take off Hold Me Back, the Omarion and the Usher song that **** rides. Amsterdam and 10 Jesus Pieces are 2 of his best songs. Presidential is smoove as hell...

And what Justice League added to the Triple Beam Dreams beat :x :pimp:

I dont really mess with GFID but its not THAT bad of an album...I ***** with Triple Beam Dream and Ten Jesus Pieces heavy
