After hearing the sheer...DEPTH and focus on the beat KRIT did for TIP...I'm starting to wonder...Is KRIT the Kanye of the South?
Lets be honest here, very few artists can match undeniable lyrical talent and amazing instrumentals like KRIT has managed to do recently...and I'm not counting Dre (more producer than rapper) or people are more of one than the other like Swizz (producer than rapper) or T-Pain (rapper/singer than producer)

If you hear this "Flexin" beat on the right system you might be amazed at how layered and tuned that beat is.

I have yet to see Cole present that sort of focus on a beat thus far.

DJ Quik can be mentioned too (legend in his own right) to be honest but I think KRIT is reaching that Producer/Rapper upper echelon...Of course I would have loved to hear him on the beat, but lets be honest here...dude is amazing on the beats and KRIT is definitely bring that old flavor to the new south...

Hes making a very strong case for himself I would say...

To be fair, while Cole makes beats that are used by other artists, like Kendrick Lamar...they just don't have that depth and sound of fine-tuning and rawness...the sound doesn't have that timbre and tonal quality...the bass isn't rounded enough. The highs don't have the same range. Its just a difference in quality.

Its like the difference with Drumma Boy and Lex Luger...

^ i agree on KRITs beat making and song making. He has very "seasoned" aspects to his beats that Kanye had when he first came out. Its like old Tribe beats where the sample, the drums, and the add ins all come together seamlessly and the choruses are perfect for the mood of the song.

Went to jail and shared a cell with a 25 to lifer
Stayed at my grandma house with 25 bibles
Stayed in a trap house with like 25 rifles"

OK...forget this J Cole being the "truth" talk...Cole ain't getting better.

KRIT might as well mess around and drop this classic soon.

I'm glad he pushed it back...dude's climb to the top is even more anticipated.
