This dude is EASILY the best all around up and coming hip-hop artist. E-A-S-I-L-Y. Not even sure I can say he's up and coming though--dude is HERE.
The perfect dose of funk, knockin' beats, that ill flow a touch of ig'nant %+@% and regular, everyday dude type of lyrics. I mean, how is this dude putting out free albums that are lightyears ahead of some of these other cat's official albums?
I'm glad I didn't listen to any songs off this besides Dreamin'. Letting this run front to back in the whip and hearing it for the first time took me back to the good ol' days. As an old(er) head, there isn't much new music that gets me hyped--grew up on Gangstarr, Ball & G, The Wu, 'Kast, ATCQ, Pac, Biggie, Mobb, the G-Funk Era, the old Jay-Z, Goodie M.O.B., etc. THIS dude brings me back to that time when music actually "wowed" me.
This album is gonna make a lot of cats head back to the lab and try again. Ridiculous.
