Official Soccer Jersey Thread

Thanks. Once you start to pay attention to every little thing that happens when you're wearing your jersey it ruins the fun just like creases on shoes.
I'm really anal about my things, too, so I feel your pain. Just make sure they're staying dry in your closet and you should be fine.

You don't have to use wooden hangers, by the way, I just like organization in my closet so I replaced all my old metal and plastic hangers with them a while back

im also anal about little things when it comes to jerseys too.

i need to start using garment bags for my jerseys as well.

I get little stains all the time, especially with white jerseys.

I also hand wash mine as soon as i find a new stain on the jersey.

I actually got one of those tile glues on one of my player issues yesterday, i was so mad.

But i washed it as soon as i got home and it came off, but it still doesnt feel the same..

I hate the fact player issues are only meant to be worn once, so they are very fragile :/

especially since some logos and emblems are heat pressed on for Nike, and i hate the fact over time name sets start to crack too..

the struggle..

Do a lot of you guys order off of worldsoccershop.com?? Is there anything to worry about??

I can't find a Jamaica soccer jersey anywhere and found it on this website.

Thanks.

Haven't purchased premier league patches in years, are they still that same felt material or have they changed once they stopped using that material for the name and numbers?

I think they are made of plastic material now, I'm not too sure

no they arent felt any more, they are kinda like a flexible textured cloth material, hard to explain, not very thick but seems durable for the shirt. They switched over to them the same year they switched the numbers from sencilla to the plastic numbers in the 13/14 season i believe. I thought they were fake when i first got a set pressed onto a shirt, i believed they are considered "PRO-S" now, i could be wrong.

Anyone on any player issues?

I usually wear a M so if i where to a get a player issue would one size up do?

yea thats what i heard.

I wouldnt say theyre fragile but, before i went from replicas to player issue, i always thought stitched logos and emblems were better than heat pressed stuff.

I mean over time im pretty sure they'll start to peel off. i feel like my 13/14 Zenit player issue Nike logo is about to come off lol im scared.

i feel like the recent material is better than the sencilla.

I feel as if sencilla material is hard to wash off stains.

I remember some girl hugged me while i wore my 14/15 PSG away(white) kit with UCL patches and this girl got her make up on my sleeve

and got my starball patch ruined -_- but i did hand wash as hard as i could and it came off, so i think the plastic material is better for stains as well lol

depends on the brand.

I think the recent Nike player issues fit true to size, but of course alittle bit smaller than a replica.

my 13/14 Nike player issues are a bit tighter than the 14/15 ones. I wear a M as well.

With Adidas it also depends whether you get Formotion, Techfit, or Adizero.

Techfit is the tightest. Formotion and Adizero fit alittle bit more loose, but still smaller than a replica.

It also depends on the season and the manufacturer i believe.

all my Adidas Formotion, Techfit, and Adizero from different seasons all fit differently from each other :/ some are too big, some fit perfectly, and some are tight.

its confusing lol, i think it also has to do with different country sizing.

For example J-League and the Japan National teams jerseys go with JASPO sizing. AKA they fit smaller than what you normally wear lol.

Its all confusing to be honest.

I dont know how other brand sizing are i only have Nike and Adidas kits lol

got all the patches and stuff for my buffon goleiro today. admc on eBay always takes care of me for my serie a needs. $45 shipped for everything and $17 for the shirt at ross. first time having the TIM patch in hand, had no idea it was like a rubber textured patch. pretty dope

Quick question, how does everyone store their jerseys? I had a leak in my closet from above and luckily it didn't get on my jerseys, but perhaps there's some particular way to store them so they stay crisp? My PSG authentic has something weird going on with the fabric where it looks like a different color or being frayed in some way, not sure if that was there before. I mean jerseys are supposed to be worn and not to be worried about all that much, but just curious how everyone else does it.
on plastic hangers in my closet. nothing special. been doing it that way with soccer jerseys for 15 years. no issues at all.

Stay away from white plastic hangers. They have stain some of my lighter color clothes and jerseys.

I tordered an authentic SKC third kit from WSS last year and they sent me a women's running top instead. Sent it back, they had already sold the jersey I ordered. I told them I should receive some sort of compensation and they gave me a 20 dollar gift card that had an expiration date for 3 months later.

Needless to say I'll never order from them again.

Didn't have an issue with soccer.com though.

I don't really see the problem there... Sure, they messed up, but what's the issue with getting a $20 store credit?

If that's the worst online customer service you've ever received you should feel fortunate.

had a similar issue with WSS. they sent me a worn smelly jersey in my grab bag. i asked them to swap it out for anything as long as it was a new jersey and they refused. took about 2-3 weeks of calling to finally get compensation which was a $20 GC that expired within a month

The topic was ordering from WSS not worst customer service.

The issue was that I wasn't ordering anything else. I wanted that kit and didn't receive it. I didn't use the coupon. Had they not put an expiration on it I wouldn't be as dissatisfied. I essentially received no compensation for them screwing up my order because there was an expiration on the gift card.

You absolutely received compensation, you just didn't like the terms of it. There's a big difference there.

I did not state that I received no compensation. Them sending me an expiry gift card was of no use to me.

Bottom line, they failed to send me the jersey I purchased.
