Please don't get the stupid Japan kit with the rising sun.
Agreed, it really is astounding the rising sun isn't more universally recognized as an offensive symbol. For those that don't know why, this blog summarizes some of the main points: http://www.thewandereronline.com/20...-the-japanese-rising-sun-flag-by-dongwoo-kim/

Honestly, I'm Korean and my grandfather wouldn't buy any Japanese products because his family went through the Japanese occupation. Obviously, I don't go to the same extent, but the Rising Sun being displayed proudly without so many people understanding it's harsh realities on so many civilians is an injustice. My two cents.

It's just a shame that the Japanese Empire/Rising Sun symbol isn't taught to kids in school while the Hitler era is no doubt a huge topic when learning about history. It's just as bad, if not worse, than the Hitler/Nazi movement.

It really doesn't make sense how so many people can proudly and knowingly display the Rising Sun with any conscience. People who wear the Rising Sun without the knowledge = ignorance. But those who do display the Rising Sun despite understanding the full extent of what it is and realizing the pain that it could bring to so many Asians, it is heartless and despicable.

A huge corporation like Adidas should know something about the Rising Sun, it's a travesty.

I never knew about that Japan stuff, always thought it was a cool logo / picture. My family is Filipino and my grand-dad was a POW of Japan during the war, but they never talk about Japan's history with other Asian countries.

Thanks to Chicago Soccer got some printing done today.

homie hit me up that works at an adidas store saying he might sell his home spain and argentina away jerseys. this years current one with no namesets. both size large, if anyones interested PM me and i can let you know if he wants to get rid of em. itll be below retail, whatever adidas emp discount is. gotta find out exactly how much it would be, but im assuming it cost him $50?

^hit up your local Ross, WC2014 Adidas Jerseys are abundant. Germany H/A, Mexico H/A, Spain H/A, Argentina H/A. $20 each.

You could always take a day trip out to NJ, they got some Ross stores.

True, i'm in the dmv area often but rarely see much of any soccer gear in the ross stores down there as well. Next time I'm in jersey, I'll go looking.

Back with more jerseys from collection over the years as promised, and a few comments as well.

all those members giving a heads up to Ross, good job.  I went today to 4 in my area, and found many of the same ones as mentioned the last days, i.e., Mexico H and A, Spain H and A, Germany H, sizes M, XL, XXL...however, unfortunately for me this morning some other happy shoppers/collectors grabbed the MEX/GER off the racks literally as I just entered the store and saw these in the "Active Tops" section.  Supplies as we speak are looking minimal, for now...maybe those guys read this Forum or something like this one...I myself would have very much wanted any Germany/Argentina, but  as the saying goes ya snooze, ya lose...good bargain for 20 bucks but I really can't use stuff like 2014 Spain for example.  I would guess the employees would pick up many of the jerseys for themselves before even putting them on the floor for sale, but again just speculating.

2013 USA GK shorts Player Issue Green

My auction seller source did not make good with deal for the matching jersey, so anyone here that can point me in the right direction to get the matching jersey in adult XL, I would greatly appreciate it.

Germany jerseys, shorts, socks, shirts, jackets, pants, suits, etc...

Just some of the pieces I have, much much more locked away in a storage unit...Germany dispatched host nation Brazil in yesterday's 2014 WC semifinal in a manner that no one would have expected....frankly, ever since the protests by the inhabitants of Brazil against the WC instead in favor for spending on local education, health care, etc., I knew for certain  that Brazil soccer in this tournament was doomed, so to speak, set up for failure...this would always now be a lose-lose proposition/scenario.  Thus, hypothetically speaking, if Brazil loses in the tournament, which did indeed happen, then the answer is straightforward/self-explanatory.  But much money was made in the local economies of Brazil, right?  Yes, but likely even more so for FIFA, which does the lowly citizens of Brazil very little good...But even if the Brazil team were to have lifted the Cup at home, it still would be perhaps viewed in a negative manner, maybe in a way "showing up" the lowly citizens as if to say, "see, after all this spending on soccer we won the tournament for the people...we can all be happy...", when truly in their hearts the people wanted other things considered more important than soccer.  Maybe I didn't explain it well in words here, but I'm sure most of you reading this know what I mean.  Anyway, just something to think about that sports are important for many people, but not everybody,  and at what cost, and to what extent...

Anyway, as it stands now in the WC, will this be Messi's cup to win to attain that one missing puzzle piece for his career achievements and put him without a doubt right next to if not above Maradona?  Or will this be Germany's turn to win the cup after many years since 1990 and many 2nd/3rd place finishes in WC's since.  Or can Holland win their first WC, against all odds, on South American soil?...soccer fans stay tuned for the conclusion of this story-book ending to 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil...

I really wish the sponsor was in navy. It looks too much like McDonalds.

I love that the hooped socks are back for both the home and away though.
