Played it twice, don't even recognize him anymore. Album is way too happy and pop for me. Only songs that caught my attention are The Hills and As You Are. Everything else is forgettable. I'll try it again in a few weeks but this was a huge letdown.

Album is weak.

I'm still going to see him in the fall with the lady but the excitement isn't there like previous times.

The feels on Angel man.

Never told this to anyone, but NTXO I need you right now.

I once had a good girl, we were together for about 7-8 years, but I was always living that life.  Now that I lost her, I'm still so heart broken and its been a little bit over a year.  Was literally listening to Angel this morning and almost started tearing.  I miss her so much, and this is what Abel does to me?  This whole album got me thinking about her.

I honestly hate this album, but I love it at the same time.

I know the next girl that I do have, she will be treated the way my girl always wanted to be treated.

She always feared that I would leave her, and when I did become the man I'm supposed to be, I'm going to give all to another girl.  And she was right.  One thing that stuck with me that she told me was, "You're only good at being someone you're not."

In that one year time, I have changed and become a better person.  Not completely successful yet, but I'm working there.

I kept saying I need that savagery, maybe because I didn't want to move on.  But this album is truly making me realize all the good things I had, but at the same time pushing me to do more.  Idk man, just some early morning feels.

Sorry folks...But if this was his first album and no one knew who he was, yall would think this album SUXKS.

This album sux hard. This is NOT Weeknd yo :smh:

!!!!!!!! This

Anyone saying different man, idk what to say :smh:

This album just don't sound like him bruh. It sounds like a whole different artist. This is like everyday pop music. I hope he don't stick to this sound. :smh:

How you buy those individually? I didn't know they sold them like that. Where you get them from?

As far as the album goes, only record I don't like is Losers.

This is definitely Far far farrrr from the Trilogy guy we fell in love with.

but that's okay. This is a great pop / r&b album. Only record I don't like is Losers. (The bridge on Losers is awesome though)

My favorite record is probably shameless and acquainted, even though I prefer Girls from the 90's better

Republic released them officially a few weeks back. I saw them on best buy's website so they should be there.

I got mine from Amoeba Records though. They had the individual trilogy vinyls too which was dope.

This album isn't even close to past work in terms of quality and production in my opinion but I'm not gonna hold the fact that he made masterpieces against him.

People always want an artist to remain the version of them they fell in love with but that's just not realistic and unfair to the artist themselves.

Growth is the only constant especially if you're a creative so I appreciate the fact that he's doing everything that he is now.

The old music will live forever regardless, so there's always that. :pimp:

I disagree a bit, especially with the writing. The Writing on this record is leaps and bounds better than Weeknd's writing circa trilogy era.

The music may not be better, but the brand of music is almost completely different. The quality is just as good though.

What's crazy to think about is that he will never do small venues again, only arenas. Minimum ticket prices $150+ for upper level

Dude is officially MADE

Tell me about it.

My mans will look out for me so I'll be at both shows at the Forum, but I saw like decent seats going for like $250 a pop

Gonna miss the era of general admission with everyone high and rollin' and drunk and just turnt to the weeknd. What an experience to go to those shows

Someone is gonna try and take his spot as an underground darling now that he's aiming for mainstream appeal though.

I gotta disagree with you a bit bro.. Leaps and bounds better? I don't know how you can say this with a straight face... but it's all opinion

I don't think it's better at all.. some of my favorite tracks on BBTM have very condensed verses. Not saying volume of words is the mark of great writing but I definitely feel as if he went for short and sweet. The sweetness in my opinion was lacking just a bit compared to his past works

Breh, I took those shows for granted. That's legit though to have connects like that, I had debated spending $150+ for an upper level but I couldn't pull the trigger

I just can't believe BOTH LA shows sold out under a minute and that the tickets were going for those prices. The tour is about to make a killing
