Is there a way to authenticate hard copies of the tickets? I've found 2 tickets for $35 a piece online for the Mountain View show. It sounds too good to be true.

"Former" producer for The Weeknd ("What You Need", "The Morning" and "Loft Music"). If you haven't heard, James Rose aka Zodiac, had riffs with Abel and/or his team with production credits. But, supposedly they squashed it. Hopefully we hear music from both of them (together) in the near future.

I don't like the fact that I'm hearing artists these day who are trying to emulate Weeknd's style, feel like they need to chill. That's how I feel about that dude ^ there at least with that "Zodiac" track. I feel like the vibe is exclusive to Weeknd and should be kept that way for now. And I don't really hear the similarities between Weeknd and Dream so I'm not even going to speak on that.

I agree with people ripping off his style. Dudes like JMSN and Ndeluv are clearly biting. From what I've read though, Zodiac actually came up w the concepts for Weeknd's music. And it can't be denied that HoB, which Zodiac had early input in, is Weeknd's best work. I'ma check for this Zodiac dudes music to see what he can come up with solo. The Jesse Boykins song is really good, JBIII has the talent to be just as good as Weeknd.

haha, zodiac is the originator of that style. Cry all you want, but dude's production and vision made the weekend and gave him the sound. Of course, this is coming from the article that was posted long time ago where he discusses how everything came to be between him and abel, don't know if he's lying or what. But I hear what you're saying. I enjoy JMSN production as well, even though it is clear where aspiration for that sound came from. Oh yea, JMSN's production is up there with the weeknds.

Exactly. Dudes don't even know what they're talking about as usual.

x100.

EDIT:
Zodiac (aka Jeremy Rose) is the producer who accused The Weeknd of ripping him off for songs on House of Balloons. Whatever the case, Pitchfork reports that the two teams have resolved their issues. According to a rep:
“Fueled by a common vision they had about RnB and music in general, Jeremy and Abel worked closely for a short time about two years ago. Miscommunication between both artists is currently in the final stages of being worked out by their respective management teams.”
Yeah...I hope that means they'll get back to working together.

I'm going to see him in October as well at ACL.

For you all that have seen him live, what did you think?

I hope he does Montreal when I see him in October *crosses fingers* :nerd: :nerd:

I've seen him doing it in some Youtube videos so there's hope

Boston residents or NYC'ers who don't mind the drive, He's doing a second show in House of Blues, Boston. Those tickets go on sale Thursday 10am Eastern.

Dude is the truth. I saw him preform in Miami and I got tickets for October. Dude is a RnB game changer along with Frank...no Ocean.
