This song is smooth as hell. The beat has a old school feel to it and his vocals are perfect. His versatility is unmatched right now.
 
I **** with the song but it's like a 6-7/10...not even as good as often. Hell, love me harder is more catchy

BRUHH on a side note, kotf finnaly grew on me. That **** dope af :wow:

jesus christ man...new track took a few spins to really dig, but GOT DAMN at the instrumental. if you've read 50 shades, you can pretty much see how well this fits the movie.

but word to whoever said this was some James Bond ish...like forreal this is some luxury car commercial type, evil villain that the female lead is attracted to type music.

As mentioned, this joint is lacking in the raunch & wicked games. It sounds more like a Noise track than Weeknd.

Production was good, but not awe-inspiring. But I ain't eem worried about the music to come that's not associated with the soundtrack.

I have a feeling this project will bring in many new fans though.
 
New fans of the 50 shades material will probably say "I like the weeknd, but not so much his old stuff. Love me harder is probably my favorite" :lol:

I def agree with the first part, most of the people that don't like it probably never heard or dislike his The Noise songs, which were nice in their own right (Birthday Suit & In the Mood :smokin)

The production is smooth, lyrics are a tad soft tho but song is nice
 
What I've noticed about his new songs with new material is you gotta listen to it Atleast a 2nd time. I remember when I first listened to Kissland and Love in the sky I was like "TF IS THIS BS" until I
1. Listened to the whole song (that 2nd part of KL tho had me bumpin)
2. Listened more than once.
Now they are 2 of my favorite tracks on the KL album

And I already got the whole lyrics down for Earned it. Can you tell I f***s wit it?

I liked it from the first listen. I think it has been received better than Often which wasn't received well by a lot of people when released due to the repeated hook. Look at Often now. Raunch is still in there low-key.
