He's performing at 3-4 big festivals in October. So it's beginning. Will be at the NY one.

Definitely wouldn't get word on a tour til tbe album comes.

Haven't rocked with dudes music at all since EOS, but HOB, Thursday and EOS are classics, Thursday, being my favorite.
 
The 22nd is the first day of the Fall. Coincidentally it's a Thursday...

Part of me wants to get hella excited and part of me wants to remain skeptical. I have a good feeling about the project, though.
 
I'm definitely curious what the new era will look like

Could be him bringing the true XO culture and sound to the mainstream? Or will he do a Disney soundtrack and rack up millions 
 
I predict that the album will have a more cohesive sound, but it'll be all pop music with maybe 1 or 2 traditional Weeknd style songs

How I feel as well. I have to set my expectations low 

Guessing Doc did maybe 3 songs at most which will be the more core XO sounds. I am however hoping that those Doc songs are instant classics 
 
It is foolish to think he'll make Trilogy 2.0 at this point but I am hoping for a much better pop album with better production.

Not too much to ask for, I'm keeping my expectations low.
 
That fact he's in a relationship still kind of worries me because I don't want a "I'm in love Weeknd let me express it through song" which, YES, is wrong but cmon i don't want that. Hopefully he has a few "F#$% that B" songs where it might lead to a break up at one point....


Expectation is not high really because I think we all know he has the ability to do it all. What I wouldn't mind is some guest appearances where he just outshines the rapper. I mean he's taken over EVERY SONG he was featured on and just skated on it.


.......If this could happen at some point. Kendrick somehow going to a dark place and do a song with Weeknd would most be interesting to me. Because Kendrick loves bodying guys on their own @#$ :smokin
