I wouldn't be mad at him dropping a No Ceilings type of tape where he remixes popular songs, but he gets his producers to remix the beat like Drunk In Love.

Its good buts it not great. Same subject materials. Its a typical weekend throw away. Cant say this is better than much of his material. Obviously the album will be a completely different direction than this throw aways but I want to here some legit songs.

i kinda get what you're saying, but thats artists in general. all hit mainstream rappers only rap about money, thots (yea i said it), and driving cars that are custom made like a suit.
wiz just raps about weed....like every song.
few artists are consistently fresh nowadays imo. Nas, Big Krit, lauryn hill (when she still was putting out music)..
i DO hope abel writes his songs fresh...he can't keep it about eating box 24/7. but we'll see. kiss land was really great. i just wished he didn't jump on w.e tracks as much. all these other rappers n such are trying to capitalize on dude's following. but those collabo songs almost NEVER work out. that weekend french montana song is a great example, that record was booty....because of french. that wiz record was great, because that beat x the weeknd was
but wiz was so trash :x.i think for the weeknd rolling solo is more important, than his content.
only collab i want is an OVOXO album
there are other artists that would work well for a collab. but right now, ive said this before in this thread. ovoxo tape would shut the servers down.

I agree on everything. It's a smooth song that will ring off this summer, but these are the types of tracks Abel knocks out in his sleep.
That said, the fact that this is perfect for the summer is probably why he released it. Hopefully when album time comes around again, we'll be hearing a more focused, theme-driven project like all of the others were.

My initial thoughts on first listen was this sounds like a throw away joint from his next album.
Throw away sounds disrespectful because this is still great but it's more just the the sound and feel of the production. If this was on an album it would feel like Live For even though this is 100 times better.

Live For could have been so much better if Drake stayed off and Weeknd had a second verse. Also that horrendous chorus.
