Barry Sanders Nike Zoom Turf Retroed?

Hey, was jus wondering if anybody remembers if these were Retroed. I looked them up and it seems like they had been back in 2007. Anybody remember? Not sure but I thought I did see these a few years ago. Maybe I'm delusional. Loved these as a youngin though
 
These WERE on of my favorite sneakers until Nike butchered them....I still have the royal and black pair in the bottom of my closet, wishing I would wear them. Great sneaker.....back in 97!
 
They weren't like the OGs but were good enough for $60. They sat forever in my area. My retro pair still looks DS after a few wears.

They were saving up so they could kill us in 2011 with all these back to back released.

im guessing you meant "what did nike do so wrong?"

they left out the carbon fiber (which makes the shoe imo)

QFT. I never really like the original pair and when they retroed they just couldnt grow on me. 
 
Guess that's why I never picked them up and barely remember them lol. That's crazy though if they're STILL sitting on shelves anywhere after all this time. Anybody got pics of OG's an retro's to show the difference? Looked on E-bay and none were even up at all lol

What's not shown here is the black midsole carbon fiber piece. A Jet's exclusive on ebay shows the dimpled/ dotted black piece in all it's glory.. The retro was just straight shiny cheap black paint

Other notable differences:
-OGs didnt have a blue front toe piece
-OG strap was all gray
-Laces shouldve been White

But yeah, the small color differences don't really matter. What made this flop was the missing carbon fiber piece as someone already mentioned here.


The black pair is very similar:

- OGs seemed to have an all leather upper. Retros had cheap synthetic leather combined with cheap synthetic nubuck.
-OGs had a black base to the see through OUTSOLE
-OGs didnt have anything on the tongue. Retros a prominent swoosh... Then you can include the missing carbon fiber piece too

Total travesty
 
I had the originals in high school, I can't remember what shoe I passed up to get them, but I remember thinking I was an idiot a few years later. I wish I still had them, but like just about every shoe from my youth, after I got a bit of wear from it, the shoes were shipped off to relatives in Honduras.
 
@wallyhoop that pic of the OG royal blue pair brought a tear to my eye...I couldnt get those back in the day I had the white pair, I would greatly appreciate a pic of those if anyone has one...this sneaker was the hottest thing in my middle school back in the day!
 
Yea, I see they did butcher them. Probably worse once you see the actual shoe in person. Once again, probably why I paid them no attention back in 07' lol. The OG's were the issue tho back in middle school
 
Both OG pairs were too ill. I really need to find the OG blacks to go with the white pair. Nike REALLY dropped the ball.

I hope they don't mess up the Super Zoom's
