Barry Sanders Nike Zoom Turf Retroed?

Wasnt there a "Brett Farve" colorway originally, one that did not have suede overlays on the toe and the pair Im thinking of had textured upper? Or maybe Im thinking of another shoe.

What clearance store are they still at? They may have messed up the Retro's, but I'd still take a white/blue pair.

I actually got these off ebay yesterday for less than a pair of foams.... They were the Michael Schumacher(from Indy racing) PE... DS.... It was released in europe... I would take more photos but I dont have the energy to go back and forth on tinypic...

Nice pick up, i wouldn't classify them as a P.E, they did release in limited quantities if my memory serves me correct.

Other notable differences:
-OGs didnt have a blue front toe piece

But yeah, the small color differences don't really matter. What made this flop was the missing carbon fiber piece as someone already mentioned here.
The black pair is very similar:
- OGs seemed to have an all leather upper. Retros had cheap synthetic leather combined with cheap synthetic nubuck.
-OGs had a black base to the see through OUTSOLE
-OGs didnt have anything on the tongue. Retros a prominent swoosh... Then you can include the missing carbon fiber piece too
Total travesty
This is confusing... I realize the main differences with the retro include the strap color, no CF on the midsole inserts & the blue mud guard carried thru the toe cap but there are TWO versions of the 2007 retro, BOTH of which surface frequently. The 100% Authentic pair I own & rock varies slightly from the one shown above, in that it has:
*A White sock liner, Not black;
*The midsole 'wave' is navy blue, NOT black.
*The laces are navy blue, Not black.
*The Swooshes are Silver on the strap & the toe, Not navy like on the retro pictured.

Apparently Nike couldn't make up their mind on how this shoe should look as clearly, there are 2 different versions of this retro, at least in this specific "Sanders" CW. Interesting...

Actually, never mind... mine are the Midnight Navy joints... the others are Varsity Royal, so they truly are 2 different colorways. Both can be found on PYS (no sizes available) and you can see the colorway list on the last pic on each...

Crackin up at all the raggin on the Retros! I'll take OGs any day but for $60 to pick up a pair, I'm sure as hell not gonna ever turn that down (and didn't) regardless of quality changes. EVERYONE KNOWS that retro-quality is nowhere near OG quality ESPECIALLY starting in 2006 & up with Nike/JB. Doesn't make these trrrble, just not as good.
As for the lack of CF (which I'll admit, is lame) I can understand why, as it has next to nothing to do with actual support when stuck on the sides of Phylon. To have it as an arch plate would be nice, like the OGs but not using it on the sides in the retros is no surprise to me.
I actually prefer the solid color-wrap toe box of the retros over the white-toed OGs, so to me, that's an upgrade, even with the other flaws in play.
I agree, they're not worth full retail but at discount, I'll take a pair of these in every CW 'cept blackouts any day, while continuing the hunt for a Reasonable pair of OGs in the Royal CW...someday.

honestly the only gripe i had about them was how badly they creased, after very few wears it looked like i took them for a 20 mile jog

Finally found a DS pair of OG Royals about a month ago for 170.
EDIT: Here are the pics. I swapped the OG white laces for black ones as I actually prefer the black laces in the Retros. The leather on these is great.
