He congratulated the "Seattle Sonics" on making the Finals. They said Sims was pissed about it, Wish I could have seen it

Everyone else seemed dead in their enthusiasm

Before the season started Harold Reynolds was on the DP show and one of the things he mentioned was how this team was quiet, no fun, no trash talking, nothing...when he visited the M's.

He didnt make a big deal out of hit and I don't either, I just thought it was interesting considering how young this team is that they dont have that kind of camaraderie and having fun even in practice.
They knew it would get a rise outta the Seattle-folks... and it did.

^ Did you see the rountable deal they've been showing on root recently with Ackley, Seager, and Saunders? Ackley has 0 personality and Seager and Saunders aren't far behind. They kept piggybacking each other in answering questions. "yeah, I'm the same as Ack." Or I'm just like these guys in that...."
 
I never caught that, but sounds about right though, I remember catching Ack and Saunders a couple times on some pre-game stuff.

I dont want to knock them for their personalities but..

I get the feeling they are sometimes too serious and uptight
 
Kawasaki's awesome! He's been hilarious in the limted clips I've seen of him... I'm sure he's even funnier behind the camera! I'm sure a lot of these guys have more personality, but they're probably just more passive in front of the camera.

Some of the Kawasaki-media stories are hilarious.
 
That's one thing I've noticed too. Ackley never smiles man.

Honestly, I miss the days of Edgar, Junior and the gang joking around.
 
^ Good for him. He was a relative big-shot in Japan (I think), but here he's just a benchwarmer and looking like he's happy with every minute of it. Sure, of course he'd like more PT, but his attitude is great. Did you guys read the article about him making himself available as a back-up catcher, all decked-out in the gear! Wedge let him go warm-up the pitchers as he didn't want to let the poor guy down! Lol.

Really, you don't need a lot of "personality" guys like Jr. around... just 1 or 2 will usually be enough to get everyone going. Back then they had Jr and Bone... afterwards they had Boone and Cameron. Now... Hmmm.
 
True. It's not like the goofball Sweeney helped win games for them a few years ago. Just as long as they can play, I suppose.

I'd imagine they become more loose and relaxed as they keep developing together and start winning some ball games.
 
Yeah ya'll are right, don't need the whole team to be like that and at the end of the day wins cure all anyways.

This is the kind of attitude and demeanor Wedge presents himself and it shows throughout the team, some of that all-business attitude I actually liked when he was hired, especially coming off of the debacle that was Wakamatsu was

I saw that when they were talking about wives and girlfriends. It was hard to watch. Damn Millwood that really sucks. Furbush and the pen better not @*#$ this up.
