Wilhelmsen looking like the new Bobby Ayala.

Happy we didn't land Josh Hamilton, he looks like straight crap.

The 1-2 punch of Seager and Morales comes through in the clutch.

You know it, boys!

Meanwhile... 1-hit.

EDIT ~ Double, Sac-fly, wild-pitch.

This is an embarrassment, how are we so inept at HITTING?

Player development has to be part of the blame, right? This crap is unprecedented.

The offense woes have been going on for years. No reason that this team shouldn't be able to hit with runners in scoring position or on base. Let's see what they do in the top of the 9th...

Edit: Absolutely nothing.

Last night, the Mariners suffered yet another excruciating loss at the hands of the Angels, losing 1-0 to a CJ Wilson gem. However, the news was not all bad in Mariners land last night, as 2013 first round pick DJ Peterson made his professional debut for the Everett AquaSox last night.

The Univeristy of New Mexico product hit fourth and was the designated hitter in his first game. In four plate appearances, he went 0-for-3 with a walk. He over-swung quite a bit, which is to be expected from a kid pressing for his first pro hit. He did show some great plate presence, as he had two long at-bats, including the one where he drew the walk.

Even though he didn’t wow anyone on day one, the positive takeaway from Peterson’s debut has to be that less than two weeks after the Mariners drafted him, he’s in uniform playing professionally in their system. That’s a big deal. I remember thinking Mike Zunino signed fast last year, and he didn’t debut in Everett until mid-July. To have your top pick debut on June 19 is a major step in the right direction.
Chose #33 because of where the Mariners had originally drafted him back in 2010, the 33rd round.

- Ji Man Choi now has 8 hits in 12 games/32AB, 3 HR's, and 2XBH.
Anyway, he's hitting .317/.406/.601 with 39 XBH and 32 walks.  - See more at: http://seattlesportsinsider.com/art...ame-action-recap-june-19#sthash.fgDRjoc7.dpuf

Center fielder Dustin Ackley (get used to the sound of it) had three hits and a walk and is now hitting .400/.500/.529 in AAA. - See more at: http://seattlesportsinsider.com/art...ame-action-recap-june-19#sthash.fgDRjoc7.dpuf

Need to get out to an Aquasox game to see this kid play.

Dangit at Wedge for starting Blanco. Only reason I watch right now is to see the development of the youth.

Hopefully Smoak can hit another bomb tonight. 2 in 2 games back.

Just got back... *checks score*... oh look, it's a close game...

*sees the box-score*...
