**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | 6-8 | v. Cubs & Reds |

Wouldn't be mad at Kuma exploring the market, he's played his butt off and is crazy underpaid.

Hopefully Hultzen bounces back and is serviceable in the future so losing Kuma won't hurt as much.

Hopefully a possible trade could happen before they allowed him to hit FA

He could bring back something nice in return

Trading him before the season is over would mean the M's are out of contention.

It's a contract year for him so here's to him delivering the goods for the Ms in 2015. If that aids the team's efforts toward the post season/World Series, I'd wish him well afterwards.

Cano said he'll never forget missing the post season by one game. Stuff like that is why I'm pumped about watching this club this season.

It's what thing if you have a squad that was no where near making it to the post season, and attempted to make it by going on a spending spree following. However this club sniffed it, went out and won the final game of the year to improve their chances, but missed it because their situation wasn't entirely in their hands at the time.

Robbie not with Nike anymore?!

Man, Nike seems to be going all in with Trout (understandably) when it comes to baseball marketing and possibly neglecting other players. NB has some serious players signed to them too.

No worries though, Alex Jackson will be the future of Team Swingman :smokin

Any concern over the most travel distance in the MLB (mentioned in the baseball thread), or an established #3 starter? Although I personally believe in a healthy Pax or emergent Tai.

I havent looked at the schedule but as long as it isnt as drastic as a road trip they had in September last fall, I'm not too worried about it.

I'm pretty confident with Pax in the #3 spot

It'll be interesting to see where Tai lands in the rotation or if he gets edged out and ends up in Tacoma to start the year

It's like that every season. It didn't really effect those good Mariners squads, so I'd say if these guys are the real deal, they should be ok. Then again, it's hard to really quantify.

I think Paxton is the real deal. So much so, that I'd have no problems with him at #2 in the rotation between Felix and Kuma. The rest of the rotation will sort itself out, but either way, it's pretty damn promising given the options.

#BlueJays say Michael Saunders tore meniscus in knee. Out to all star break

@ShiDavidi
Michael Saunders stepped on soft spot around underground sprinkler on outfield grass while shagging flies yesterday. Left knee buckled.

Man, tough luck.
