Wanted to say: Despite not being a Mariners fan, out of all the NT team threads, I appreciate and urge on the enthusiasm in here (and the 49ers) most. Since Griffey, A-Rod, Edgar Martinez, Seattle in the playoffs is good for baseball. I've tracked every step this season as an enthralled bystander. The unquestionable patience with Seager (and sometimes Miller). Trade interest in Lagares and Matty Kemp. Missing out on Nellie. Awaiting major impact from Tai and Paxton. Roller coaster ride with Rodney. You guys deserve a wildcard spot, Felix deserves it.

This team is starting to fall into "typical late season M's" mode, the starting pitching has gone from elite to borderline laughable. Felix, Young, Elias, Kuma all getting tagged around lately, let's hope Pax can stop the bleeding tonight. Otherwise Detroit will run away with the wildcard.

If the team's recent play is any indication, we'd get bounced in the wildcard game with the quickness.
