 And to think people are worried with losing a draft pick over the qualifying offer. With our track record of drafting/developing I really do hope they sign a CF that was extended a QO.

Peterson and Jackson, albeit only a year in the system, look like ***. Peterson regressing at a rapid pace.

Or we could trade for a 30 something, oft injured player nearing the end of his career. Seems like the Mariner way.

Checks, Pro probably could give you a better insight on JP.

Had #2 starter potential, but he hasnt been healthy for 2 years now. He started the year very inconsistent with his delivery and accuracy.

I think it's fixable if he can stay on the diamond. Yankees win that deal if it happens

Hmm you have me interested when ya say we'd win the trade.

Yanks can't afford to get rid of Gardner though, start Hicks in LF and trot Beltran out there in RF again :smh: .

In this case Im ok with a 38 year old pickup. Reliable relief pitcher who wont see too many innings, and fills a major need on the squad. Dipoto said he'll be in the mix for late inning work, along with Bartender and Carson Smith. My thinking is he'll end up being our Closer.

Speaking of Dipoto, caught an interview he had with Brian Kenny yesterday. He said he expects to be very active this offseason, trying to find guys with familiarity/potential within their system. Then hours later he trades for benoit. I'd love  to get one more arm in the pen, tho.

I want Pax to stay healthy or he'll end up like Hultzen though

The finger issue has to be mechanics and they gotta make sure it's sustainable in his delivery
