Heard a great discussion this morning with John Clayton and Jeff Nelson on 710. I'll share some of what I heard mixed in with my opinion.

M's have 59 quality starts and only 43 wins. That's crazy!

With Bedard on the DL, he probably isn't good trade bait at this point, let's hope Beavan can keep on rolling to up his value. He would be a very high quality 5th starter, but when you have an amazing core of 2 top of the rotation guys with 2 very solid 3rd and 4th starters (Vargas, Fister), M's really should look to trade Beavan for a few Minor league bats.

Apparently Wedge really likes certain things he sees out of Pegeuro to justify his playing time at this point. Media is starting to pick up on the fact that we all want Halman and Carp to see more at bats and sometimes that heat is enough to try something new...See Ichiro?

I just don't know why he sees certain things in Pegeuro that he might not see or want to explore with Halman. I think he just doesn't want to send Pegeuro down.

The only thing Paguero has over anyone is power which he barely shows at that

Halman is better at working the strike zone and better defensively

Haven't seen enough of Carp but he deserves a chance for us to see what hes about with consistent at bats...especially since our season is basically over

Worse comes to worse we are wasting it, but in the best case scenario the M's will be able to salvage the rest of Felix's career and use Pineda as a catalyst to the next era.

Unfortunately, Seattle will never have utilized the most out of Felix from a team standpoint, but in the end, he could still be a dominant/veteran presence on a relatively young WS team.

Im with ya, If the young bats can meet their potential in the next few years our staff as it stands will still be in its prime

Im content with this team if they can manage to stay around .500 all year, I didn't expect anything close to our record being this by all star break

True. Coming into this year, I didn't see near as much promise as actually been showed. Not even at the all-star break either. Whether they're competing or not, I'm excited for this next year and a half of baseball to see what develops.

I Hope we're not disappointed.

Hope this break benefits the team as a whole. They def need it. I just wanna see one more run in this team

Dont know if it says much but its crazy Ackley is probably our best hitter outside of Ichiro

Congrats to Pineda too, well deserved
