It did sound like he was talking directly to us, didn't it?
He probably has reasons to validate his decisions, but his whole spial about needing consistency before settling is no good to me. No one is asking him to settle, but he has to sift through the young talent to find out who is a part of the M's future and who isn't and cut bait with all who don't fit at the end of this year.
Figgins, for one, plays no part in this and needs to go. Sure, Olivo can call games at C, but Montero needs to learn and Jaso is probably one of the best hitters they have with RISP. Develop Wedge. Don't delay the inevitable.
