**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | 6-8 | v. Cubs & Reds |

And also, I know we got a bit lucky there with that 9th inning out, but I guess when the team has a bit of history on the line, they'll get the benefit of the doubt on those extremely close plays.

Just got back from the Game it was

Looking back, great couple of moves by Wedge. Subbing Figgy, who made that running catch and held the runner at 3rd. And later putting in Ryan.

Up until today, Either was struggling here too so I figured he'd fit right in if they signed him this offseason.

Speaking for myself, I think I just need to be patient with the team for the complaining I do with Safeco.

I mean there was a point when the M's could hit  and score runs on this field right?

It's just interesting to look at the numbers

but then I think of someone like Beltre...maybe they should inch them in a bit

Looking closer...Beltre didn't even do all that bad. Without lineup protection he still hit for good power and had a good amount of doubles. Just circumstances I suppose.

They really need gap to gap hitters (Seager) that can turn on one every now and then, but I think moving in the left field fence won't hurt. Montero can go oppo and most the rest of the lineup should do well eventually, hitting homers to right. Move in left field and get that big righty bat and voila...I should be GM.

If only so easy.

Stupid +%% Sims. Second time he practically calls a HR for Smoak and both are caught short of the warning track.

Yeah, he's not very good at gauging HR's... so many times, I recall hearing *CRACK!*.......... and then he says "Home run!"...
"Swung-on, deep into right-field... and that will fly, fly... be caught at the warning-track!!!"...

Great tag by Charlie.

Team-leader too, I think!

There was Sims again... didn't start screaming till after the ball went over the fence!

Welp, that sucks

Hope it's not serious with Pryor, Bullpen doesnt have enough bodies as is

Alot of moves made today

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Mariners placed outfielder Mike Carp and reliever Stephen Pryor on the 15-day disabled list, optioned pitcher Blake Beavan and infielder Alex Liddi to Triple-A Tacoma and called up a four-pack of players from the minors.

The Mariners made the moves on Wednesday prior to their game against the San Diego Padres.

Outfielder Franklin Gutierrez was activated from the 15-day DL after missing all of the 2012 season so far with chest and foot injuries. Seattle also recalled pitcher Erasmo Ramirez, outfielder Casper Wells and pitcher Steve Delabar from Tacoma.

Carp was placed on the disabled list with an inflamed right shoulder he first injured in the season opener in Japan in March. Pryor has a left groin strain.

Gutierrez, Wells and Delabar will be in uniform and available immediately. Ramirez will make the start in the series finale with the Padres on Thursday night.

We luck-out on an E3 to get the bases-loaded with 1 out and Ichiro bounces to 3rd with a force-out at home. Then Ackley K's... Un-%&$ing-believable.
