**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | 6-8 | v. Cubs & Reds |

If I was a Mariners fan, I dont know that I would be really excited at the prospect of signing Nelson Cruz.  Historically, he is an awful hitter in Seattle, and IIRC has publicly stated he hates playing there.

IIRC?

I think signing Santana is a must right now. With Guti going down, I'd be more open to making a play for one of the Dodger OF's so long as Franklin is sufficient and they don't have to give up a pitcher. Doubt that though.

Still have Ack & some other pitching prospects not named Tai, Paxton. I'm not too knowledgeable in what their value is in trade situations

Jeff Samardzija's name has been floating around with the M's lately

Jesus Montero must not care about his baseball career moving forward...how do you show up big again after offseason?

I'm not even trying to clown on the guy, it's getting sad at this point...

I have zero expectations for Montero and if his ballooned weight coincides with stagnant or degrading play then I agree...Cut him.

I'm hoping Cano can talk some sense into Montero, but he was an A-Rod disciple before NY traded him...SMH...
