**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | 6-8 | v. Cubs & Reds |

Franklin is Puig with white skin

Is Jones the skinny Puig?

 no

in other news:
Mariners first baseman/outfielder/DH Corey Hart is expected to miss four to six weeks, reports MLB.com’s Greg Johns (via Twitter). That news — and Stephen Drew‘s signing with the Red Sox today — has fueled calls for Seattle to take another look at re-signing first baseman/DH Kendrys Morales. Should Morales stay a free agent until the upcoming amateur draft, of course, he will be free to sign anywhere without costing his new team a pick, and without returning a compensatory choice to the M’s.

KING 5 always been the best anyway, especially sports. Dennis, Jean and Paul Silvi. Best crew in the biz.

I think so. Runner up last year for Cy, solid rookie campaign, Cy Young contender again this year? He doesn't have the Tanaka/Darvish hype but I don't know why, he has easily matched them so far in his career as far as performance goes.

It doesn't help that he plays on a losing team as opposed to the most popular franchise in sports or a recent AL powerhouse.

Kuma is outstanding, but won't ever get Tanaka and Darvish love because he wasn't a posting fee phenom. He has good stuff but it isn't as sexy as Tanaka's and Darvish's.

Interesting how the AL Cy Young race may include three Japanese pitchers.

A fly ball pitcher pitching in Texas, just didn't seem like any good was going to occur going into today's game..

Young got off to a good start, but I didn't expect it to really last. Safeco helps, I'm sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if he falls off now. My guess is that he'll be the first to go when Paxson and/or Walker are back in the rotation.

Now imagine if we somehow nabbed Tanaka, oh lawd

Chris Young not in Safeco today, is he?

I keep checking the standings and I get the feel that the logjam for the WC will be going on for the entire season. The only team I feel that has a strong chance of pulling away is the Angels, but still not sold on their pitching. If the M's are just in the WC race for the last month, I'll be happy.

This team needs Morales.

Chris Young pitching in this ball park should be outlawed.

I see Cabo got a dinger, and Jones a triple. Really like Jones, hope he keeps it up.

They pinch hit for Miller? When are they sending dude down?
