Why can't we have some games when Ichiro looks like his usual self and the rest of the lineup does well too? It's like one or the other
Vargas wasn't on his game but neither was Haren...We had some chances with him

Carp didn't look too good though... 3k's and a GIDP, I think? It's tough how different AAA and the Majors can be. Saunders is on a tear in AAA right now, I think...

Saunders has always had the potential. I think with him it was the confidence and the pressure. He re-tooled his swing as well, which is hard to do just in the spring then up in the bigs.
He was probably relieved to get sent down and now he can relax and build up his confidence again.
With Carp it's a bit different. He just getting a taste and I don't think anyone (Wedge/Management) is looking into any struggles or success at this point as being final indicators. Just seeing if they can get lightening in a bottle to settle this lineup for the rest of year and a possible playoff push.

I'm very interested to see Ackley's defense on he next level as much as his offense. Jack Z said he can be "solid" enough there so we'll see
