**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | 6-8 | v. Cubs & Reds |

Definitely not. Could be a good race since a big part of September is division games :smokin
:pimp:

Its gonna be intense...what a great feeling

My pick is to rather have OAK and LAA face in the WC while the M's wait in the wings

A man can dream right?

Man i thought we had a night game today

I was at the casino this morning and i looked up and saw the Mariners were up 3 runs

won some money and rushed home to finish the game.

5.5 games out and there are 40 games left, it's possible y'all.

Saunders coming back, and Taijuan most likely being called up again by next month, no one knows what to expect.

This is baseball, M's can get healthy and hotter rolling into the post season and win the whole thing!
Wait, it's the middle of August and M's baseball is still relevant?! :smokin

Michael Saunders went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in last night’s game for the Rainiers. He’s now had 11 at-bats since coming back from  paternity leave. When might we see him again? Maybe not for or five days. As he has said before with other players, McClendon remains adamant that Saunders stays on his rehab assignment till his timing is right on his swing.

“At some point, he’ll be back,” McClendon said. “But I don’t think 11 at-bats is a mark to get him back to the big leagues. He’s been out quite a while. He needs at-bats. Most hitters think they can get three games worth of at-bats and say I’m ready to play. I don’t know that anybody can be ready in three games. I was wish there was a switch you can turn on and be that good. But it doesn’t work that way. You get yourself back in a groove and get your timing.”

McClendon wasn’t finished.

“I’ve seen too many times where guys get 10 to 12 at-bats and they come back and they are wasting at-bats here trying to find their timing,” he said. “And then I hear them telling you guys, ‘well, I’m trying to get my timing down.’ Well that’s b$%%^&. Get your timing down in the minor leagues, don’t waste games here. It’s too important. You have to win up here. We aren’t here to get timing down, we are here to win.”

This is why fans are skeptical. Williams is very mediocre and 3-hit the M's through 7. Morales and Zunino are gonna be under Mendoza if they don't stop K'ing so much, and Austin Jackson is not a leadoff guy. I'd rather see Chris Taylor in the leadoff spot, or Ackley when Saunders gets back.

Elias with 6 walks, Tai-style. :smh:

I'm giving the M's the benefit of the doubt. Detroit to Philly with the game being EST. I don't think it's back to reality of any sorts. They can hit, but even good hitting teams don't always score 4+ runs every night. I fully expect them to win tonight.

Watching the highlights now... that collision at 1st looked scary!

I wish the Mariners were still playing Detroit. The Tigers are beating everyone else and the M's aren't making any ground.

Keep winning. :pimp:

Random but

Was browsing through Fangraphs and had no clue Brad Miller was rated so high defensively among Shortstops

Kendrys...
